On the same day that the hacktivist group WikiLeaks posted tens of thousands of classified State Department communications online, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told a top deputy to send now-classified information to her personal email address, newly released emails reveal.
Heres my personal email, Clinton told former Sen. George Mitchell, then Clintons special envoy for Middle East peace. Pls use this for reply.
Mitchell responded with details of discussions with Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini. Most of the contents of the email, released by the State Department on Monday night, are redacted pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act exemption designed to protect classified national security information.
Another Mitchell email in response to Clintons request discussed conversations with Spanish foreign minister Miguel Angel Moratinos. Contents of that email are also redacted, citing the same FOIA exemption.
The exchanges took place on July 25, 2010, the same day that WikiLeaks posted roughly 92,000 classified State Department cables stolen by then-Army private Bradley Manning on its website.
Clintons department treated the leak very seriously, additional communications released on Monday reveal. In a November 2010 letter, State legal adviser Harold Koh told an attorney representing WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange that his groups release of classified information place at risk the lives of countless innocent individuals.
Mitchells emails to Clinton were among more than 100 emails released on Monday sent to or from Clintons personal email address that contained classified information.
Clinton and her supporters claim she never handled information on her personal email account that was classified at the time it was sent or received, a claim that the inspector general of the intelligence community has contradicted.
Her critics have seized on her handling of classified information to demonstrate her supposed disregard for information security and laws governing classified government communications.
On hundreds of occasions, Hillary Clintons reckless attempt to skirt transparency laws put sensitive information and our national security at risk, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said in a Monday statement on the emails release.
With the FBI continuing to investigate, Hillary Clintons growing email scandal shows she cannot be trusted with the White House, Priebus said.
This should give her a five point bump with the retarded dumbasses who plan on voting for her.
Once it is clear that her candidacy has been utterly and completely destroyed Obama will relent and the classified info stuff will go away. Mark my words.
The thing to remember and repeat is that she is a lawyer.
She knew exactly what she was doing.
George Mitchell is still around?
Of course she wasn’t AWARE that it was classified. Thought maybe it was a shopping list or something. No warrants, no US Marshals. And, yes, there are plenty of LPOS/SPOS/IPOS/UPOS that will vote for her. “I’m gonna get rid of them guns and make everything else free.”
Mitchell responded with details of discussions with Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini. Most of the contents of the email, released by the State Department on Monday night, are redacted pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act exemption designed to protect classified national security information.
This is just mind-boggling.
Of course, nobody has picked up on the fact yet that even though Clinton claims that the emails she was receiving were not marked classified, whenever she relied to them, she herself was generating classified information that should have been marked and handled accordingly. It works both ways.
Nothing will come of this email scandal. The FBI will “investigate” then deem her innocent.
I have been watching the Clintons for almost 25 years. This is how it’s going to go down.
Given the facts of the Hillary email server, it's is clearly a vile, disgusting criminal act. And Hillary is basically grinning at the media, daring them to do something about it.
Maybe she'll pay some kind of price. But it's not yet clear.
There we go AGAIN: "now-Classified". I've never heard of "now-Classified" unless of course it's a term used by the media to PROTECT HILLARY from any wrong doing. It's "classified" not "now-classified" because it was classified at the time it was sent, it just wasn't MARKED as classified.
"Clinton told a top deputy to send now-classified information to her personal email address"
Wow, the TRUTH sounds a lot more illegal now doesn't it. There. Fixed it.
drip. drip.
who cares.
where’s the indictment?
Exactly. They’ll let this drag on until the month before the election and then say how helpful she was in helping them prove that she was totally innocent and the target of an unfair “witch hunt” by those wascally Wepublicans.
And, Hillary remains through this, “Noways Tarred.”
Ping
PIAPS is looking more and more like the “Where’s the beef” lady.
