CARLY: KY Clerk refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses should DO HER JOB OR QUIT
The Right Scoop ^ | 9/1/15 | The Right Scoop

Carly Fiorina says that while we need to passionately protect religious liberty, it is inappropriate for a Kentucky county clerk to continue to refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses against a court order, because she is a government worker.

Carly says the clerk needs to do the government’s will and issue the licenses or quit and move to another job where religious liberty is more paramount. She says it inappropriate for this clerk to practice civil disobedience as a government employee.

Quiting is the wrong tactic if you really believe marriage is a union of one man and one women. Disobedience is the right tactic. More clerks should follow her example and disobey.

I can’t believe any conservative would actually support this woman’s campaign for president.

This is, at heart, the GOPe...

When the Left hands you a crap sandwich, you're supposed to eat it with a smile.

...and whatever you do...don't burp.

Right. Anyone who supports this woman’s refusal to do her job because of her religious beliefs is setting a BAD precedent for Muzzies; Sharia in the workplace here we come. It’s unfortunate the SCOTUS totally missed the point of marriage.

Who the F said I was supporting it. How many times do I have to say I disagree with it? I KNOW you know better. I am guessing you haven’t read the thread.

I am simply explaining how the government and law work. The woman is going to get fired.

Personally, I think it is a stupid stand on her part. But whatever.

I am sorry—I was not aware this was an elected position. In communities I’ve lived in it is not. If she was elected, she will do whatever she wants. Cannot fire her.

BUT...she can be impeached (there are always provisos for that.) AND, the city will be subject to lawsuits up the ass.

As I said over and over and over...

I am explaining how the law works.

There are some here with a fourth grade method of discussion which entails just yelling the same stuff louder and louder.

I just want to know if a muslim would be forced to comply.

This woman's mistake was not going Muslim before making her stand.

If she were making the same stand, but dressed in a full-body sack with only an eye slot, and invoking "Allah" instead of God, she would be in a far stronger position vis-a-vis the America-hating Left/Media.

Instead of dismissing her as a white trash kook and demanding her firing, the Left/Media would be gently suggesting work-arounds for the SSM applicants and alternate accommodations for the Clerk.

Some were in one form or another.

Did any of them expect to collect a paycheck from King George after they took up arms?

Muslim Civil Liberties Group Claims Airline Violated Flight Attendant’s Constitutional Rights

A Muslim flight attendant has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEO) claiming she was suspended from her job for not serving alcohol — which is against her religious beliefs.
Lena Masri, an attorney for the Council of American Islamic Relations Michigan (CAIR), says Charee Stanley followed management’s directions, working out an arrangement with her coworkers to accommodate passenger requests for alcohol.

I am sure the Obama regime's EEOC will go to bat for this Muslim woman and force her employer to 1) make a service-degrading, money-wasting work-around; and 2) pay her a sack of cash in "damages".

And in the Muslim flight attendant's case, she took a job that she knew involved serving alcohol. It's doubtlessly in the job description multiple times, like "serve drinks, verify age of alcohol customers, cut off drunk customers, etc")

(The county clerk OTOH, entered office before the job description included "Issue license licenses to 'same-sex marriage' customers")
