Sen. Ted Cruz has invited fellow Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to speak at a rally against the Iran nuclear agreement in Washington, according to the senators campaign.
The rally will be held at the Capitol and sponsored by Tea Party Patriots, Center for Security Policy, and the Zionist Organization of America, according to the campaign. The date, time and exact location havent been finalized.
Trump told reporters in South Carolina on Thursday afternoon that he and Cruz were planning an event protesting the deal in Washington. The Daily Beast previously reported that the two campaigns were mulling joint events, and the Washington Post reported that Cruz offered to take Trump on a tour of Texas border with Mexico.
While other Republican candidates have taken shots at Trump and his inflammatory comments about women, Hispanic immigrants and Sen. John McCain, Cruz has praised the real estate mogul for focusing on illegal immigration and border security.

KA-BOOOOOM!!
Very Interesting
Smart move. Trump will draw tons of attention.
VP would be a great spot for Cruz. Shore up Trump’s core base issues and have an extremely smart true conservative to help him break balls in Washington D.C.
Trump might also be a one term candidate given his age.
Glad to see this
awesome
I am looking forward to seeing who Trump appoints as his advisor on national and international security issues
Cruz also realizes that Trump is firing up a ton of voters. Cruz is the most likely inheritor of those voters (Washington outsider who truly has been there fighting the COPe).
Cruz is my first choice. But VP is okay and he can step up if Trump one terms it. He would not be a ‘hands off’ VP.
Wow! That’ll be big. BIG!
Agree - and can you imagine the VP debates? I’m pretty sure that Cruz would own whoever the other side vomits up as their choice for VP...
Smart dude. Smartest dude in the field.
And who said Ted Cruz wasn’t smart as a whip?
Mr T and the A team in action.
Well, well, well.
Is Trump quietly trying out his veep candidates already?
Ted vs. Elizabeth?
“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”
Trump might also be a one term candidate given his age.
***************
Of the 44 presidents to date not a one began his tenure at the age of 70 or above.
President Reagan was the closest at 69 yeas and 349 days. So if Trump would be
elected he’d be oldest to ever take the oath.

Trump/Cruz 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cruz is a very smart fellow and as VP he can help Trump with the nuances of the DC Political zoo...
“Is Trump quietly trying out his veep candidates already?”
Cruz will be brilliantly letting people see the differences between them. They can say the same thing - Trump by blathering and making it about him and Cruz making on-target coherent and knowledgeable points.
This is a good test run of a future presidential ticket.
