The presidential administration that vowed to be the most transparent since the baptism of Nkuwu Nzinga has once again demonstrated that such vows mean nothing to it.
In addition to the secretive manner in which Secretary of State John Kerry conducted negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran over its nuclear program in itself secretive there was also the matter of secret side deals between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
And now, additional side deals, this time between President Barack Obama and the leaders of foreign governments, have also come to light.
Republican Sens. Marco Rubio and Mark Kirk have demanded that the Obama administration make public copies of letters from the administration to foreign governments that have already been disclosed to lawmakers.
The letters, penned to officials in China, France, Germany and the U.K., promised that companies that engage in business with Iran will not be penalized, even if Iran violates the terms of the nuclear accord.
The deal will pump $150 billion into Iranian coffers through the lifting of sanctions, but that doesnt seem to be enough for Obama. He apparently wants to make sure Irans economy is further buoyed by international trade.
Someone should tell him that it might be nice if hed pay that much attention to the U.S. economy.
Some of the money flowing to Iran will likely, by the administrations own admission, be used to fund radical Islamic terrorism, just as Iran has been doing for decades.
The documents submitted by the Administration to Congress include non-public letters that you sent to the French, British, German, and Chinese governments on the consequences of sanctions snap-back, Kirk and Rubio wrote to Secretary of State John Kerry, according to the Washington Free Beacon, which obtained a copy of the letter.
These letters appear to reassure these foreign governments that their companies may not be impacted if sanctions are re-imposed in response to Iranian violations of the agreement, they claimed. While Administration officials have claimed that this is not the case, we think it is important for the American public to be able to read your assurances to foreign governments for themselves as their elected representatives review this deal in the coming weeks.
In other words, two U.S. senators have demanded that Obama administration officials live up to their promises of transparency to the American people, not to mention stop treasonously propping up a nation that chants Death to America at the drop of a hat. Or, you know a turban. Whatever.
Which would be nice, of course. But we dont expect them to start now.
Has anyone mentioned Trump,yet?
If the legislators have the letters, why are they asking Obama to release them to the public?
Obama is into some very dirty business & these putzes are expecting him to incriminate himself?
And needs to be hanged for treason!
Senate GOPe approve.
And just today Jeb! wouldn’t say if he would cancel the Iranian ‘deal’ when elected (which means he wouldn’t cancel it). Just another pos.
#CronyFascism
There’s only two explanations for Obama’s actions. Incompetence or Malice. He doesn’t look stupid to me.
So the administration submitted the letters to Congress and these Senators ‘found’ them? Sounds like a bit of headline inflation.
Jeb! and SHRILLARY! are both insane douchebags.
Neither Dr. Carson or Col. West hesitate to say that Obama is working against this country. It is easier for them to do because of all the racial pc crapola apparently.
Trump was asked this the other night in NH and said that Obama must love this country, or something to that effect, but it was not convincing. It was clear he did not believe it.
Wouldn't it be cool if Trump said that?
#BlackLiesMatter!
Federal Prisoner..Barak Obama?
“There should be another word for a traitor who is at the same time the President” ... I suggest “Treasident”
I think that will just come to be known as an obama.
chicken dinner!
Or at least "cankles".
Your panties are showing, GOPe.
Things like this, and the total and complete failure of elected Republican Congressmen and Senators to forcefully, consistently, and effectively raise the administration agenda at every turn, is why we can no longer and will no support establishment Republicans.
