During Bobby Jindals two terms as governor, his administration has blocked Medicaid expansion in Louisiana, cut public health care funding to the bone, closed mental health facilities, closed the Baton Rouge General-Mid City emergency room, closed the publicly funded Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, and has not adequately funded the new University Medical Center in New Orleans.
A 50-state study puts Jindals Louisiana in second-to-last place for childrens health outcomes.
Under Jindals tenure as governor, Louisiana has had some of the highest rates of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis and HIV/AIDS in the nation. Teen pregnancy and teen birth rates remain stubbornly high. While abortion rates have decreased around the country, they have increased in Louisiana.
Jindals administration has repeatedly blocked legislation that would call for mandatory, age-appropriate, medically accurate sexual-health education in schools. Last year Jindal banned Planned Parenthood from providing sex education in Louisiana public schools.
And now Jindal wants to cut health care options in Louisiana even more.

Here’s a hint ... that new University Medical Center in New Orleans is half of the newly-being constructed location of the new V.A. hospital, which will be staffed by university students!!!
What about the people screwing around in the first place?
Planned Parenthood IS Sandra Fluke.
Government should really pay for my venereal disease, it’s expensive....
Adobe supports planned parenthood. So it aborted your system.
Go get ‘em Gov.
When people demand all the rest of us should pay for the consequences of their bad decisions, it shows these are people that want to play grownup when stuff goes their way but shirk any resposibility when they dont want to deal with the consequences.
ahahahahahahaha AHAHAHAHAHAHA now that right THAR is funny!!!
Melissa Flournoy, the Louisiana State Director of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, writes that her organization "does more than anyone to prevent the need for abortion, with the sex education and birth control that we provide to so many people across this city, state and country."
Jindal shut down the Earl K. Long Medical Center?
How cruel! The man has no compassion. /s
That’s the hospital the po’ folks always called “the butcher shop.”
Sign this consent form. The interns need to practice lancing a stomach abscess, even though you’re having a miscarriage.
Gunshot wound to the head? Take a number. In 8 hours, a doctor who’s been on duty for 36 hours will see you.
Here’s a mop. Clean up your own bloody mess.
I think they are omitting the increased number of illegals pouring into the country- my sis is a nurse in a border state and their hospital is being overrun with illegals carrying the weirdest and worst collection of STDs she’s ever seen.
“Melissa” looks a lot like Norman Schwarzkopf
I hear they drink in the French Quarter on occasion
“Shambles” is an old word for a slaughterhouse.
These butchers (pun intended) have no self-awareness whatsoever.
