Rep. Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.) said in faux concern Sunday that he understands Hillary Clinton is “frustrated” over her woes in the polls amid the email scandal dogging her campaign, but that she can’t blame Republicans for her decisions to use a private server.
Gowdy is overseeing the House Select Committee on Benghazi, the 2012 terrorist attack in Libya that killed four Americans during Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State. It is one of the key areas of interest in the probe into her private email server.
Clinton angrily denounced the Benghazi investigation as a partisan witch-hunt during a speech in Iowa Friday.
“I won’t get down in the mud with them,” Clinton said. “I won’t play politics with national security or dishonor the memories of those who we lost. I won’t pretend that this is anything other than what it is, the same old partisan games we’ve seen so many times before.”
Gowdy, a guest on Fox News Sunday, pointed out the Inspectors General nominated by President Obama and the Federal Bureau of Investigation leading the inquiry into Clinton were not partisan.
“I get that she’s frustrated,” she said. “Her poll numbers are tanking. Folks who never thought about getting into the race are getting in the race. But she need not blame House Republicans for having her own personal server, for exclusively using private email, for telling us the Sidney Blumenthal emails were unsolicited and then we later find out that they were not, after telling us there was no classified information, then we later find out that there was.”
Sometimes, Gowdy said, when people are angry they engage in self-reflection, and in other times they lash out and blame “non-existent right-wing conspiracies.”
“Apparently, she’s chosen to do the latter,” Gowdy said.
Sure she can. She has never taken responsibility for anything in her life. Why will the transfer of classified documents to our enemies be any different?
Gowdy talks a pretty good game.
I’m tired of his talk.
The only reason she is “frustrated” is that she is finally facing some scrutiny for her misdeeds.
Wow, a congressional committee said something scornful about crime in the Obama administration, like firing the IG way back, like fast and furious, like IRS targeting political opponents of Obama, like Obama arming al qeida through Benghazi, like the Clinton email servers, etc.
I want to know what Gowdy is doing to pressure the GOP leadership.

Hitlery has always been down in the mud. She is there now and I take delight knowing that not only have her poll numbers dropped and her trust factor has tanked, but I also take great satisfaction that she is miserable now and can't sleep at nights. Filthy pig needs to drop out of the race.
