Last Wednesday, a small EPA-supervised work crew inspecting the Gold King mine accidentally knocked a hole in a waste pit, releasing at least three million gallons of acidic liquid laden with toxic heavy metals. (ABC)
This letter to editor, posted below, was published in The Silverton Standard and The Miner local newspaper, authored by a retired geologist, one week before EPA mine spill. The letter detailed verbatim, how EPA officials would foul up the Animas River on purpose in order to secure superfund money. It the Gold King mine was declared a superfund site it would essentially kill future development for the mining industry. The Obama EPA is vehemently opposed to mining and development
The EPA pushed for nearly 25 years, to apply its Superfund program to the Gold King mine. If a leak occurred the EPA would then receive superfund status. That is exactly what happened.
The EPA today admitted they misjudged the pressure in the gold mine before the spill just as this editorial predicted.
The letter was included in their print edition on July 30, 2015. The spill occurred one week later.

Sounds vaguely criminalistic...................
I think Governor Martinez of NM is going to sue EPA, I hope the other states will also but it probably depends on politics. Maybe private property owners affected could sue. The EPA wants to spend money, let them spend it on fines. And then send them to jail.

As the old saying goes... “accidentally on purpose”. The EPA is just another link in Obama’s ongoing criminal enterprise doing its best to destroy the American economy IMHO.
A while back, there was a story about "forest rangers" planting evidence of rare animals in some areas of the national forest so they could keep folks from using the woods for recreation.....
I've got'n to the point where I can not stand the sight of a federal officer.....
Corruption, corruption, corruption.....
MHO.....
But the EPA Head said she was “sorry”. What more do we want from our gov.? It’s not like there and evil corporation or anything. /s
Not far fetched at all.
Yesterday, I posted that Op Ed on another thread. It was originally put on Rep Paul Gosars facebook page by a gent who also claimed it was intentional.
The guy who wrote that op ed has exposed the criminal intent of the most Marxist agency ever. They managed to contaminate the watershed and eventually, the groundwater of the states of CO, NM, UT, NV, AZ and CA. They are claiming it will settle. YA RIGHT! And what happens when spring run offs flush those sediments downstream?
Question. What is the accumlative effects of drinking arsenic and lead/mercury within water? These are only some of what is in that water. What will happen to people who drink this over a period of time?
I proposed to Congressman Gosar that we HIRE A PRIVATE firm to proceed in the “cleanup” of that mess. But, the downstream discharge..nothing much can be done, sadly, until it settles. the funds for it must be taken from the EPAs budget with no increase in that budget...ALL THE FUNDS. Then, close down the EPA and arrest those responsible.
And I am no hawking the Reps facebook page here either. This is a disaster caused by..
Wow. And 100% believable.
Obama’s evil bastards are at it again. There’s no rest, no peace, with this crowd.
I just visited his Facebook page and couldn’t find anything about this . I’ll look again .
chickensoup predicted this about one minute after it made the news.
can you cut off the top part. and put the date and publication on it? FReepers need to post this everywhere.
