A black delivery driver was told by his manager that he would not be making a delivery because the customer had said she only wanted a white driver in her house.
Marcus Bradley, an African American, who has worked for Lowe's Home Improvement for the last 11 years, was left devastated after his manager complied with the customer's outrageous wish.
The shocking incident reportedly happened in the city of Danville, situated in the US state of Virginia.

I know a few doctors who have gently directed (former) patients to other practices. (”I really can’t do anything more for you.”) As a nurse, you have fewer options, unfortunately.

True dat. I just don’t like firing people, and I wasn’t there. So, maybe there was something I/we don’t know about it that would mitigate the situation.

Not everything has to be national news. Yes the woman is a racist asshole and the black driver should to be defended, but his job is product deliveries.
No one needed to know anything, just put the package in a different truck. I certainly would not TELL a black driver “hey - she does not want your kind”.
Stupid people exist all over. You marginalize them best by ignoring them.
MY one and only point is that this did not have to go public. Ignore the stupid woman and go on.

What would I personally do (in both cases) is tell the dumb lady that she has to take the driver that comes and that is all there is to it
And then I DON’T report it to the media

No kidding. I used to manage the support dept of a national department store location in north suburban (white) Atlanta. Every furniture delivery driver/worker we had was black.
I was surprised to find out that (this lady believes) you can request a certain 'color' of driver.
I bet they didn't argue with you very much about not being let in.
