Donald Trump and the Fox News Channel are in talks about Trump possibly appearing on Fox on Monday night, according to a source with knowledge of the talks.
Trump has been lambasting Fox for days, ever since he was challenged in last week's GOP debate.
It is "highly unlikely" Trump would appear at 9 p.m. with host Megyn Kelly, the source said, and that's probably an understatement. Trump has repeatedly and personally insulted Kelly in recent days.
But talks are underway about a Trump interview with another prime time host, like Sean Hannity, the source said, adding that nothing had been confirmed as of Monday morning.
In the meantime, Fox has dramatically ratcheted down its coverage of Trump. It hasn't covered Trump's criticisms of Kelly and the two other debate moderators, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier.
Trump's most recent tweet about Fox came on Sunday afternoon: "It amazes me that other networks seem to treat me so much better than Fox News. I brought them the biggest ratings in history, and I get zip!"
This is a true clash of titans. Fox News is the favored network of Republicans, and Trump is the Republican campaign front-runner.

For sure! They’d be crazy if they didn’t try to take advantage of Fox’s screwup. Great opportunity for CNN and all they have to do is drop the liberal agenda and do straight news from 5pm to 9pm.

When the target has an "R" after it's name, and doesn't become fearful and grovel... they have no clue what to do.
And it's amazing how the "target" never has a "D" after it's name, though, isn't it... just sayin'...

I read an interview of the guy who submitted the qustion. Genuine born-again Jesus follower. He just wanted to what was on their hearts but Meghan turned it into a nasty gotcha question. BTW, Cruz had the best answer.
Now all they have to do is get Trump to come on this week and to stay away from Fox. Wouldn’t it be something if one blowhard took down the Fox blowhards.

Fox News will remain popular, at least for now. I have some problems with them but they are better than all the other news stations and the mainstream.
They did a poor job with this debate. Not just Megyn’s nasty attacks on Trump but a good debate would consist of substantive questions; maybe with not everybody answering the same question but two or three.
There should be a scrupulous attempt to give equal time to everyone on stage. If you’ve invited them, give them equal time no matter their ratings.

With Thursday night’s debacle, the little I could stand of them has evaporated.
No one can defend putting three high-profile TV personalities in anything called ‘moderation’ of a Republican (not Dem vs. Rep) debate. It was always going to be an adverserial media snark fest.

So now do you watch MSNBC? They LOVE Trump over there. Mika and Joe were vehemetely defending him this morning. Al Sharpton covers Trump with glowing coverage on his show every night. I like to channel surf and see what the enemy is doing.
