On Trump, Erick Erickson Rises To The Occasion (Rush Limbaugh Does Not)
Daily Caller ^ | 08/08/2015 | Matt K. Lewis

Posted on 08/08/2015 5:42:03 PM PDT by nhwingut

A while back, I urged Rush Limbaugh to use his incredible influence on the right and call out Donald Trump for his irresponsible comments. In the intervening weeks, Trump’s rhetoric only intensified. Yet, even after Thursday night’s GOP debate — when it became painfully obvious that Donald Trump is a liberal — Limbaugh continued to prop up The Donald. I don’t want to be accused of misrepresenting what he said, so I’ll simply provide the headline and link from his own website: “The Orders to Take Out Trump Must Have Gone to Fox, Not the Other Candidates.”

Even if Mr. Limbaugh buys this conspiracy theory that Fox News is somehow in cahoots with the Republican “establishment” to go after Trump (frankly, they were pretty hard on all the candidates), and even if Mr. Limbaugh doesn’t care about Trump’s unchivalrous attacks on Megyn Kelly, why is he so unconcerned about Trump’s obvious liberalism?

“why is (Rush) so unconcerned about Trump’s obvious liberalism?”

I’ll tell you why - because Rush isn’t a political activist, he’s an entertainer. And Trump is good ratings right now.

What I don’t understand is why so many conservatives here are so unconcerned about Trump’s liberalism.

"blood was coming out of whatever"

He didn't say that. He said "blood coming out of her...wherever.

That's a big difference.

They want Limbaugh to disavow Trump, and I doubt that Limbaugh will take the bait.

Right. About as close to 100% certainty that he will not.

“What I don’t understand is why so many conservatives here are so unconcerned about Trump’s liberalism.”

What I don’t understand is why so many so-called conservatives like you aren’t enjoying Trump ripping the GOPe and the leftist media to shreds.

I would like to point out that SALEM Media Corp. owns Redstate (Twitchy, Human Rights, Townhall, HotAir) and many other Christian conservative outlets.

Would it be in their interest to get Trump out of the way? Would it be in Erickson’s interest to go after Trump, to puff himself up in importance to his Christian employers? Does SALEM Media have another candidate in mind they will support more than the others? Is it a coincidence that several of their sites repeated attacks on Trump today?

etc. etc. etc.

It’s all suspect now.

I read the Daily Caller’s rambling rant:
“I, I, I...” and praise for that goofball Eric Erickson...

Drudge hasn’t taken the bait. I doubt Rush will either. I certainly hope Rush gives Trump’s words plenty of attention and airplay, and concludes what everyone but dirty perverts concluded, that Trump meant bleeding from the nose, not the vagina.

Only a dirty pervert would be thinking about Megyn Kelly’s vagina.

Erickson was earlier retweeting old, old praise from Donald Trump.

Seriously. Made me laugh out loud to see him doing it, as I guess that is supposed to be evidence that Trump “turned on him” after praising him thirty-three years ago, or whatever./Wherever.

.

Tea Party respect for Eric Erickson plummeted to a new low Saturday with his decision to "shun" Donald Trump from Erickson's "RedState Gathering Conference".

The GOP-E Washington Cartel (Yeb Bush, Thad Cochran, Karl Rove, Megan Kelly, et al) are clearly in a panicked "Def-Con-One" mode in a desperate attempt to stop Donald Trump.

And pitiful Eric Erickson has apparently thown-in with the GOP-E enemy.

===================================

Is Donald Trump the "perfect" angelic conservative Presidential candidate ?

Absolutely not.

Was General George Patton, Jr. the "perfect" angelic general sent from Heaven along with the Angel Michael ?

Absolutely not.

But --- does Donald Trump, just like Gen. Patton, strike abject FEAR into the hearts of their respective enemies ?

Absolutely YES.

===================================

Eric Erickson ... now officially Karl Rove's "lap dog" radio boy ... has decided that Donald Trump's spoken clarity offends the dainty Eric Erickson ?

Of course not.

Like Rush Limbaugh advises, "when you see something that you don't understand ... FOLLOW THE MONEY."

Erick Erickson should be dumped into the pseudo-conservative radio talk show host "dustbin of history".

I for one have canceled my daily "RedState.com" e-mail update, and will TURN-OFF the afternoon radio should Rush Limbaugh ever made the mistake again of allowing Eric Erickson to host the program.

Not to mention Erickson a few weeks ago writing an article on Redstate saying that Donald Trump off camera is one of the nicest kindest people ever.

That's not a Rush quote, that's a quote Rush repeats...I think it was (D)Tom Foley.

I haven’t looked at Redstate in years so I didn’t know that they were formerly so chummy.

I’m suspicious now of Erickson’s motivations, knowing he works for a conservative Christian corporation.
