Donald Trump ratcheted up his feud with Fox News host Megyn Kelly over her role as moderator on Thursday nights Republican debate, telling CNNs Don Lemon he has no respect for her and thinks shes highly overrated."
"What is it with you and Megyn Kelly? Lemon asked Trump, who had spent most of the past 24 hours slamming Fox News and Kelly on social media and in TV interviews. "She gets out and starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions, Trump told Lemon. "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.
Trump also called Kelly a "lightweight" and went on to claim he wasnt alone in his disapproval of Kellys debate-night demeanor, and that a source at Fox News told him they had been inundated with a record number of negative letters from angry viewers.
“He’s from NYC, I’m from NYC. “Thin skin” is a description no-one would use to describe us, let alone to describe someone from NYC who is a business mogul.”
I’m from NYC too, guy. Simply being from NYC, or even being a business mogul from NYC, doesn’t mean Trump isn’t thin skinned. I was referring to Trump’s tendency to respond to any criticism with childish personal insults. Look through his Twitter feed - look at how many times he responds to criticism in the most childish and personal terms. The guy has a massive ego and acts like a petulant child whenever someone is “mean” to him.
His tough guy New Yorker act is just that - an act. (not to mention that, on the lighter side, he lost any New Yorker credibility when he took Sarah Palin out for a slice of pizza. At FAMIGLIA. And ate with a knife and fork. No real New Yorker would have gone there or done that).
Yes, their conduct was despicable, but he needs to be careful how he points that out.
I'm a Trump supporter and I agree with that completely. Getting into stupid twitter wars and heedlessly lashing out at anyone who says or does rude things is not going to help him. He can go after them, just don't be so National Enquirer-trashy about it.
Charlie and Dave Koch have Givento the Clintons as did Boone Pickens etc
It’s for access
My dad was a rock solid Goldwater southerner who donated to Dems when necessary for lobbying and access given his business was negotiated privatization of municipal water and sewer as have I on Nashville matters when they imposed on me in business
It’s exactly like Trump said
It gets their attention
I can’t speak for him but I give much heavier to charity and social conservatism and Dad bundled for Reagan and Old Bush
looks like the effete media have their blood.
Nice how the headline skips “blood in her eyes”
Maybe a Capitalist is just what we need.
Well, you know, Trump people say that he meant she was in a rage...duh!
She is a tramp you know...
surely, he didn’t mean anything else by it (although those of us who are honest, know what he meant)...and it isn’t funny.
1) His eyes / lashes look vaguely effeminate. (Think Nixon's five o'clock shadow: purely esthetic effect.)
2) His facial shape subliminally resembles Sen. McCarthy (House Un-American Activities Committee: tho' I agree with Ann Coulter, they were correct)
3) He is something of a GOP-e on his views on immigration (both legal, H-1B, and illegal).
But for once we have a candidate who is intelligent enough.
Footnote: he also needs a bit more humor, as Reagan possessed.
Thanks, caww
” Whereever? Her fingernails? Her ears? Her mouth?”
You forgot her fang’s! Which were clearly on display, kind of like a Baboon display’s they’re fang’s.
“As I indicated in post #58, Donald Trump is still an unfinished book to me and although I have an open mind about him, I confess that I do have my doubts about him. The word you used, serious, resonates with me in this regard.”
Thanks for your excellent, studied, serious post. It’s obvious you are a calm, deliberate, thinker.

Trump is trolling. This whole “campaign” is trolling.
She wants to play lumberjack, she’s going to have to learn to handle her end of the log.
As I’ve mentioned before...got to give Cruz and Trump lots of room to navigate this terrain they’re attempting to back from the GOP.....
I’ve decided I’m not going to “expect” Trump nor Cruz to do or “behave” as other elections. They’re fighting the GOP and the Media that are the GOPs punch boys to knock the out....and not just in our view but behind the scenes....The Gop wants to “control” the entire election....set thier candidates up for the win by narrowing the candidates via the media hosts bashing whoever is “it” at the moment.
The GOP is also going after conservative news sites.....no doubt some cash is moving into coffers to carry the GOP water....example: Red-state recently.
So I really don’t care how Trump or Cruz handle themselves....they are fighting a war we cannot see the heart of.
Good point about Howard Hughes. In his case I think his craziness developed after his plane crash when he began taking drugs, but all the same being able to run a vast business empire certainly didn’t guarantee his sanity.

An act? Holy crap. Derangement taken to a new level. No-one is saying he's Ralph Kramden, but his "New York-ness" is an act? You are very odd to go there.
Somehow you still can't understand what thin-skinned is. Frankly I know no-one who would take any of this crap from the media sitting down, would you? That's literally what it comes down to, would you take crap from Rosie O'Donnell or Megyn Beyotch Kelly? If the answer is yes, then you were actually born in Jersey and someone faked your birth certificate. ;-) Or the village.
Oh, you never used a fork and knife with pizza? Really. If not, then can you at least imagine you're in a political power pow-wow with cameras recording your every move. You might not want mozzarella stringing off your face.
Seriously FRiend, your obsession with Trump is unhealthy and telling. I can say this because I haven't once yet needed to click your name to read your anti-Trump screeds. They just appear everywhere. Constantly. And I think they speak volumes.
Of course it's an act. Or, to use more precise language, a carefully crafted public persona.

There's a difference between not taking crap from the media (more GOP candidates should do that, obviously), and responding to any criticism with childish insults. I'm not just talking about the Kelly situation - look at his past, his Twitter feed for one, and see how often he responds with childish BS to the smallest criticisms. That's thin-skinned.

Again, the pizza thing was mostly tongue in cheek. But, you missed the most important part. It wasn't just that he ate with a knife and fork. It's that he went to Famiglia! What's next, Sbarro? No self respecting New Yorker would be caught dead there, much less take an out of town visitor there for a political pow wow.
"That's thin-skinned."
No, that's an alpha male. See Teddy Roosevelt. Ted Nugent.
But once again, believe whatever you want. It's still a free country ( for now ).
Trump doesn't act like a New Yorker. He acts like a caricature of a New Yorker, or what some Hollywood producer thinks a New York business magnate should act like. (And, notably, Trump himself acts much, much differently outside the public eye.)
No, that's an alpha male. See Teddy Roosevelt. Ted Nugent.
So, your contention is that getting into Twitter feuds with anyone who dares to criticize him, using the most base, childish and frankly uncreative terms (his favorite seems to be calling anyone who disagrees with him a "loser") is "alpha male"? That's an....odd...definition of alpha male (by your reasoning, the middle schools of America are just full of alpha males). Seems more "thin-skinned" and insecure to me.
2) your age is showing, scarcely any voter young enough to be subject to having his mind changed is old enough to remember Sen. McCarthy or any Member Of the House Of Representatives on the HUAC committee.
3) agreed and I would add I am suspicious of his votes on the trade bill and on the Iran deal.
No question he has the candlepower.I think he is even smarter than Chuck Schumer.
I agree on the humor question and have advocated for years that substantial campaign money be diverted to hiring a stable of comedy writers, Johnny Carson style, to lighten up the delivery and make it more palatable to younger voters. They should be able find a few million out of a billion-dollar budget. I have heard Ted Cruz offer some pretty good one-liners from time to time but they are, of course, well rehearsed. It's worth observing that Ted Cruz seems never to put a foot down wrong in debate or in an interview. He is reliably conservative and surefooted.
