The very definition of organically grown produce; crapped on by Mexicans.

Boycott Mexican cilantro, or all cilantro.

North American Trade treaty mandates green onions, like cilantro to be imported from Mexico!

Unless one goes to a farmer's market, all green onions in my area of the country known for raising such items WILL come from Mexico!

I always check local grocery stores and find some labeling such items with country of origin, while others do not. When I check with department manager at that store, I find that, yes, the green onions were "imported from Mexico!"

Unless vegetables have skins and are actually to be cooked to destroy bad stuff, nothing from Mexico, will ever appear in my kitchen!

George Lopez says the US is better with illegals and jokes how the pickers wipe their butts on gringo produce. He might not think it’s so funny when he or his family gets sick from butt wiped cilantro.

Although I try to avoid buying produce from Mexico, it’s hard these days to find an American tomato. At some supermarkets, all of the tomatoes are from Mexico. That’s even the case in upscale specialty stores such as Whole Foods. If they’re not from Mexico, they’re often from Canada or Holland.

Why do you have to go to a farmer’s market to find an American tomato? One would think that the climate and soil in much of this country would be ideal for growing these fruits.

As a teen I loaded trucks by hand in a farm packing house in 1963. I think the workers were from Puerto Rico back then. There was a perfectly good bathroom with lots of TP. Nevertheless the walls were crap stained. Got a buck an hour in cash for that job.

Freaking Duh. I’m surprised liberals even noticed, they’re so slovenly.
Virtually all produce- at least at HEB, in Texas, comes from Mexico. It’s all over the place & buying organic doesn’t spare you. Some Mexican produce was commonly known to be grown in human waste 40 years ago. There used to be strict laws banning it’s import due to certain insects. There are still laws, today/ this day, prohibiting the sale of specific plants from one US state to another.

Not only produce, but frozen foods, soft drinks, bakery products, packaged foods- probably stuff I’ve forgotten or don’t know about, are processed in Mexico as well. Check your labels- carefully, if this matters to you. And pay attention when you fix something to eat. Some of the produce we’ve gotten is downright disgusting.

What made me start paying attention, several years ago, was some Eggo waffles that looked like they’d been prepared in dirty pans, The edges were all dingy. Not over baked- grey.

We are shopping at meat markets in small towns near by & the farmer’s market more & more. Even the little old Mexican man with the pick up truck by the side of the road is 100% safer than the grocery store, imho. At least, he’s a local.

This is why the corporatists are trying to so hard to remove country of origin food labeling.

Had to be aq good reason mine actually grew this year. Usually can’t get it to grow, or if it does it dries up in a week or two. So just go out on the porch, get what I need, and no need to buy that big bunch that mostly goes to waste.
