Unless one goes to a farmer's market, all green onions in my area of the country known for raising such items WILL come from Mexico!
I always check local grocery stores and find some labeling such items with country of origin, while others do not. When I check with department manager at that store, I find that, yes, the green onions were "imported from Mexico!"
Unless vegetables have skins and are actually to be cooked to destroy bad stuff, nothing from Mexico, will ever appear in my kitchen!
I’m also very careful NOT to buy food items from 3rd world hellholes like Mexico, but what about restaurant food? A few restaurants near me list on their menus that they only use American beef and chicken, but what about the veggies (or pork for that matter)?

We buy all of our produce from several local farmer’s markets. It’s a Saturday morning ritual for us when we are in town. Know your farmer!
Green onions & radishes are the two worst.
The green onions trap contaminates and the radishes grow in the soil.
Neither are cooked most times.
Looks like they can screw up cilantro too...
