what the heck? Is what is happening in the fields what it sounds like is happening? Is there not a separation of bathroom functions from handling of the crops?? What the heck??

In the beef cattle industry, there have been instances where the Mexican laborers crap directly in the feed bunks. The condition on the cattle is often observed on the carcasses. Often referred to as beef measles.

It is very common and disgusting. Think about it. Your in the middle of a 200 acre farm and nature calls....If there wasn’t a bathroom nearby what would you do?
Granted normal people like you and I, would probably find a more suitable area to do our business where we weren’t squatting over the veggies.
Just another reason to wash your fruits and veggies very very well.
