Almost Every Major Poll Shows Bernie Sanders Challenging or Defeating Clinton and Republicans
Huff Po ^ | August 5, 2015 | H. A. Goodman

Posted on 08/05/2015 5:45:22 AM PDT by Din Maker

Democrats who are proud of their progressive values are filling arenas to hear Sanders speak in a direct manner (while others dodge questions) on contentious issues like Keystone XL and the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement. While the FBI is currently investigating the email security of one candidate, Bernie Sanders is narrowing Clinton's lead nationally and defeating Republicans in other polls. Like Brent Budowsky writes in The Hill:

The fact that Sanders beats Walker by 6 to 7 points, depending on whether all voters or likely voters are counted -- a near-landslide margin in a general election -- makes it clear that the Sanders surge is more than a surge against Donald Trump, but move that makes him competitive with all candidates.

With Sanders already surging in Iowa, and now virtually tied with Clinton in New Hampshire, it's important to remember that Vermont's Senator is doing something most observers once thought to be an impossibility. He has a great chance of winning the first two contests on the road to the Democratic nomination, while his challenger deals with subpoenas from Congress and other scandals. Every classified email uncovered by the FBI dooms one candidate, while paving the way for Sanders.

In several matchups in Iowa and Colorado, Bernie Sanders runs as well as, or better than Clinton against Rubio, Bush and Walker. Hillary Clinton's numbers have dropped among voters in the key swing states of Colorado, Iowa and Virginia. She has lost ground in the horserace and on key questions about her honesty and leadership.

Honesty and a genuine value system are the primary reasons Bernie Sanders is gaining in the polls. Bernie Sanders reminds voters of an ideal. It's this ideal that will enable Sanders to surge past Clinton and towards the Democratic nomination.

The last paragraph above says it all. Bernie Sanders success, though not as pronounced as Donald Trump's, is for the same reason as Trump's. Love them or loathe them, You know where they stand. They do NOT join in the game: "Best Political Whore Wins". All candidates could learn from this; be authentic and stand your ground.

As to Sanders beating Republicans, pollsters routinely over sample Dems vs Republicans.

Socialism is absurd.

Thus, Bernie is absurd.

To advocate socialism requires a large amount of ignorance and a little hatred, resentment, and class envy.

Sanders is a Lenin. Compared to Sanders, Trump is a Reagan.

OH Mrs. Huff and Puff, you might like the think Trump isn’t someone to worry about and that Sanders is ‘the man’ and he might be wiping out shillary, and Jebby might be taking shillary’s donors, but guess what, TRUMP IS THERE AND WILL BE FOR 4 YEARS OF POTUS AT LEAST...

I know that breaks your itty bitty heart and you’ll be crying yourself to sleep at night, but after Trump gets thru with his Presidency, you’ll have CRUZ for at least 8 and then you’ll cry yourself stupid as you have always been....

And just a little over a month ago “almost every major poll” showed Hillary trouncing everybody else. Who knows which candidate the pollsters will be rooting for next month.

Socialism is a big fat easy target. Simply show video of the hellish lives and bloated totalitarian government, it has spawned.

Bernie vs Donald...The final showdown. Which America will we become?

I don't know where Trump stands. But be that as it may, I believe Dems are polling strong for Sanders mainly to say "Anybody but Clinton." Those who recall the Clinton years with affection, never had much for her and have less now. If Biden got in the race they'd shift to Biden like a school of fish.

Honesty and a genuine value system are the primary reasons Bernie Sanders is gaining in the polls.

Now that’s what I call a fair, balanced and unbiased assessment.

Not.

I do not think this poll is total B.S. The country has moved substantially to the left over the past eight years. Particularly younger voters. The ones I run across routinely express support for Socialistic policies.

Add to that the fact that the MSM has managed to thoroughly damage the Republican brand (it comes in somewhere between toxic waste and Ebola in surveys), and the fact that the RINOS will do their best to nominate another loser, and I believe this could happen.

Socialism is absurd.

As evidenced by the last two elections, American voters are absurd.

I actually think Bernie has a chance at winning the general election.

While America has fallen far from grace, I think it would be a hard stretch to see an old socialist elected president.

If only the leftards could be forced to actually debate the principals of socialism, not emotionalism and lies.

They forgot that on all scales without throwing in a huge batch of lies, less than 10% of Americans actually support the principals of socialism.

Hillary Clinton is now very likely too conservative to win her party’s nomination.

Let that sink in for a bit before you pooh-pooh Bernie’s chances. That’s how fast we are tacking left.

Bernie Sanders is a Hillary problem, not a GOP problem. If he lasts until late spring 2016, then we should take notice. For now? Don’t waste a dime or a minute on oppo research.
