New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, late as usual, arrived in Rome Tuesday morning to pontificate at the Vatican about the dangers of climate change.
Delayed by fog that forced his plane to land in Milan, de Blasio arrived 80 minutes after his allotted time to speak at the gathering of mayors invited by the Vatican. Once he was given time to speak, though, he waxed eloquent about “powerful corporate interests,” adding, “Is it not the definition of insanity to propagate corporate policies and consumer habits that hasten the destruction of the earth?”

When I was in elementary school, we used to play several related word games. One of those games required the player to strike letters from a word leaving one or more other words. For the word ENVIRONMENTAL, one could strike the letters E, N, V, R, O, and N and be left with the grammatically challenge I MENTAL which applies to De Blasio.
But but but... what about that separation of church and state?????

Why is it even an option for him to go at taxpayers expense? How is it benefitting his constituents?
Yah.. While he talks to the Pope about his concern for climate and the environment, in the meantime back in NYC, he is trying to put into execution a plan to build an enormous sanitation dump, replete with rats, a stench, huge fuel-storage tanks (security risk, anyone?) and innumerable fuel-spewing sanitation trucks - right next door to several hospitals (NYU Medical Center, Veterans Administration, Bellevue, Beth Israel), elementary schools, and apartment complexes.
All this to take place in one of the already most air-polluted, traffic-dense areas of Manhattan.
Wonder if he clued the Pope in about this?
Well the liberals might say since New York is a coastal city, its at risk of flooding. Then they will bring up Hurricane Sandy and blame that on global warming.
