As he intended, Donald Trump has hit a nerve.
Weve got 15 to 16 very serious people running for president and one clown, said Shawn Steel, Californias representative to the Republican National Committee, the GOPs organizing body. Trump is a pig, and hes coming in upsetting every cart he can find, throwing dishes off the table.
Intolerable and inexcusable, declared the state Assembly Republican leader, Kristin Olsen of Modesto. Somebody who has never been active in the party and is looking for his 15 minutes of fame.
The derision sounds personal because it is.
For years, California Republicans have tried to change their partys image, to invite everyone into the pool especially Latinos, whose enmity arose after a 1994 GOP effort to block immigrants from state services. And now, the architecturally coiffed, anger-venting Trump has cannonballed in, disrupting the presidential race with factually incorrect and caustic criticisms of immigrants from Mexico.

Ruin their image of wannabe Democrats?
What California GOP?
It simply doesn’t exist.
What a crock!
Aww...they had their little club and little Donny is making them mad....
Their image as the Democrat Party's toilet paper?
Please tell me there is video of this?
California GOP has an image? I didn’t even think they had a shadow.
The very fact that he sends the GOPe into a frothing, spittle spewing, stomping rage is the single strongest endorsement Trump could get.
As Reagan said of the Democrats, “I didn’t leave the party. The party left me.”
I used to be a proud Republican. No more. The party of Boehner, McCain, McConnell and the Jebster is no place for me.
Perhaps the party can shake off the barnacles, appeasers and leeches, but until then, no thank you.
Yeah, that’s a hoot! I thought there were only Democrats in California!
You couldn’t find the California GOP with a road map, flash light, GPS and a Geiger counter.
I’ve been a Californian since 1967 and this indeed is pretty funny. Ya’ll (GOP) have never had an image as long as I can remember. If so, I must have been sick that day.
It is just mind boggling how dumb the GOP actually is.
Just dropped the California GOP an e-mail. I would encourage anyone who’s as POed as much as I am by this jerk Steel’s comments do the same!
I’d wait a few minutes though, because what I said in mine may have caused their server to go off-line.
familyop posts the same nonsense on every thread about Trump regarding PERFECTLY LEGAL draft deferments granted to college students routinely.
For crying out loud the country should never close down all colleges and draft all students. The country needs college educated people. And the military never needed every able bodied student during Vietnam anyway.
Such a phony issue.
California GOP has an image? Since when?
What planet are these people living on?
Oh my. The headline alone has me ROFL!
like he fell for the “black “community”, Shawn has fallen for the homogenous “hispanic community”
neither exists.
Baltimore showed America the feral urban black detritus. (as forseen by The Wire)
Trump showed us the hispanic criminal illegals that have come to find the easy prey in sanctuaries.
And they've succeeded! Tremendously!
Their image used to be strong and powerful, and now they are regarded as pathetic, sniveling, and weak.
Mission accomplished!
I was deferred 2-S from 1968-1971. When my lottery number was 326, I switched to 1-A to get my year of eligibility out of the way, then back to 2-H for medical school.
I think the policy of automatic college deferment was terrible, and I hope if we ever need a draft again that it is not followed.
I had a deferment provided by the US Navy because my services were required for the good of the country during time of war.
