Eighteen months ago, TAC publisher Ron Unz discovered an astonishing account of the role the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, had played in suppressing information about what happened to American soldiers missing in action in Vietnam. Below, we present in full Sydney Schanbergs explosive story.

This info has been out there for decades. Maybe Trump’s comments are going to make people pay attention. I’d love to see McCain get what he truly deserves.
I’m not a huge fan of McCain, but I deeply distrust anything written by Sydney Schanberg.
He’s good though for back alley deals with extreme leftists.
I would love to see all this come out. There is a reason all this info has been covered up.They have mcnutts on a string, right where they want him.
where’s the article?
I have no idea. I just heard the reports then found this article. Never really looked into it.
Disturbing allegations have been made against him for years.
At the link.
I voted for Palin...NOT mclame.
McCain is a self-proclaimed “progressive” - might I remind everyone the source, the origin of that appellation is with the Fabian Socialists? Marxists? Communists? Hillary Clinton and Barack Obeyme both refer to themselves as progressives.
McCain has used his cover as a “war hero” and a POW for his underhanded Senatorial dealings over the decades to enrich himself and his state and sell out US sovereignty to globalist powers.
Call it Stockholm syndrome if you really want to be kind, but I think that is another bit of slight-of-hand.
McCain has helped to incrementally - progressively - engineer the overthrow of the US government, the founding of the “North American Union” and the police agencies and regulations necessary to keep us all in line during the transition, like it or not.
He’s a political criminal and deserves the fate of Ceaucescu or Mussolini. McCain’s an embarrassment at best, a traitor to his country at his worst. As a vet myself I’m more ashamed of McCain’s legacy than Trump’s pronouncements. Get ‘em Donald. Give ‘em hell!
Juan McQueeg was a POW.
One who spilled his guts the minute he was captured.
And made 32 videos for the Viet Cong denouncing his country.
If this is supposed to somehow vindicate Trump, it is truly irrelevant to the legitimate conversation.
The uproar should not be about McCain. It is, rather, about Trump and his inability to think before he speaks.
That’s a dangerous trait in a Presidential candidate, and even more so were he to be elected. That is the cogent point here, not McCain’s level of valor.
I’m thoroughly enjoying Trump’s candidacy, because his popularity should demonstrate to other candidates that the public is fed up.
However, it is unwise for any candidate to speak ill of the military past or present, and Trump should have known that. He’s accustomed to being able to say anything he wants — fine for the boss, no so much for the politician.
It’s not about McCain. It’s about Trump’s lack of judgment.
Oops! Sorry bout that! I see what you mean. One link goes to the site's "About" page. I was checking it out and copied that url by mistake. However, the top link was/is ok.
Most or all leftist journalists at the time blamed the killings on Nixon because of his incursion to try and stop North Vietnam army supply lines. Schanberg and other lefties tried to cover up for the commies in Cambodia. I doubt he could approach anything about Vietnam with an unbiased eye.
You mean like Obama/Sotoreo opens his blue gum lips/
In as much as the liberal snooze media, or even outlets like FoxNews, will never give him the forum to properly explain anything, I would agree. Instead, they'll tear him up with cheap headlines and attacks. In any case, I personally hope he's not our candidate. There are plenty more qualified people out there than him.
thank you!
Is he? Didn't know that. But this story or account doesn't only come from him, does it? Aren't there lots of true-blue vets who say this about McCain's time at the "Hilton"?
