Trump: Statement on John McCain
Facebook page for Donald J. Trump ^ | July 18, 2015 | Donald Trump

Posted on 07/18/2015 12:23:11 PM PDT by conservative98

I am not a fan of John McCain because he has done so little for our Veterans and he should know better than anybody what the Veterans need, especially in regards to the VA. He is yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job and helping the Vets. He is also allowing our military to decrease substantially in size and strength, something which should never be allowed to happen.

Furthermore, he was extremely disrespectful to the thousands upon thousands of people, many of whom happen to be his constituents, that came to listen to me speak about illegal immigration in Phoenix last week by calling them "crazies".

These were not "crazies"---these were great American citizens.

I have great respect for all those who serve in our military including those that weren't captured and are also heroes.

I want to strengthen our military and take care of our Veterans. I want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN especially for those that serve to protect our freedom. I am fighting for our Veterans!

I'd give him a pass any day over McCain

My guess is that the overwhelming majority of Americans familiar with this flap would do the same. Though the Sunday talk shows will surely try to fan the flames, it will likely blow over by Tuesday.

Personally, I enjoy a good ol’ donnybrook between two closeted Dems who think they’re fighting for the heart and soul of a conservative party. Trump is an ass. McCain is an ass. They can grind each other into powder, as long as we keep in mind that neither one is a standard bearer for conservatism.

Yes. And walking back a comment is one thing, but is that the temperament for someone who will have the nuclear football?

After what McCain said in Phoenix, I agree.

But for a lot of veterans, it doesn’t matter. You weren’t there, you don’t comment. Be a high wall to climb with them.

McCain would have washed-out early on had his father not been an Admiral.

Truer words were never written!!! That said, he was courageous in not taking easy treatment by playing his unique family status! We can only imagine how the "Hero" john Kerry would have acted in McCain's place!!!

Oh, please.

Lois Learner could have been fired in a New York minute.

She wasn't fired because she was a loyal soldier for 0bama and he couldn't send the message to the rest of the apparatchiki that he would do anything but protect her.

I like him more after this as well.

His opponents, both dem and repub, need to pull back on the Trump bashing because Trump will air all their dirty laundry for them. The stuff that the MSM wants to keep hidden.

Trump will fight fire with fire... and he has a lot more fire than they do.

With Trump on the political scene we have left behind those days where the left can take potshots and have no fear that there will be any return fire... Trump will return fire.

I’m not worried about the nuclear football....just that the pain and misery of going from running your own show to having to deal with miserable D.C.....you’d really have to want to save this country to do it....either that be those other guys trying to sustain the America Last agenda.

I went from a life of running my own business to working in a big corporation...it wasn’t easy...you have to put up with a lot of stuff.

Why does Juan McCain get away with spitting on his own voters but Trump gets a smack down for every little but of nonsense?

WIKIPEDIA: McCain's plane went into a vertical inverted spin.[110] Bailing out upside down at high speed,[111] the force of the ejection fractured McCain's right arm in three places, his left arm, and his right leg at the knee, and knocked him unconscious.[111][112] McCain nearly drowned after parachuting into Trúc Bạch Lake in Hanoi; the weight of his equipment was pulling him down, and as he regained consciousness, he could not use his arms.[105] Eventually, he was able to inflate his life vest using his teeth.[105] Several Vietnamese, possibly led by Department of Industry clerk Mai Van On, pulled him ashore.[113] A mob gathered around, spat on him, kicked him, and stripped him of his clothes; his left shoulder was crushed with the butt of a rifle and he was bayoneted in his left foot and abdominal area. . . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_life_and_military_career_of_John_McCain

Thanks for the link.

I’ve got to share an experience we had today in a busy restaurant. The kids were down from Nashville and we went out to one of our favorite places to eat.

As we were enjoying our meal we began to catch up on politics. Both of our kids love Trump and think it would be the greatest thing ever if Trump and Cruz ran together.

As we shared the latest this week, folks sitting around us began to chime in. Pretty soon we had invited them to join us and tables were moved and we had a dozen folks talking Trump/Cruz.

This was in a small West Tennessee town and the enthusiasm was contagious. More folks were joining in until everyone in the restaurant was at least listening and smiling, even the wait staff.

Phone numbers and emails were exchanged and many of us agreed to keep in touch and get together again.

I haven’t followed this Trump/McCain spat. But Trump needs to learn to overlook some
things and just keep his
mouth shut. Let the people who elect a person decide if they want that person to
represent them. If Trump keeps dissing various groups/people he’ll be out of this
race before he really gets into crunch time.

Trump is where he is because of his ability to diss others.

wonder if The Donald has the discipline to deal with a disgusting bureaucracy.....

The problem dealing with disgusting ANYTHING is too much discipline!! Trump has what it takes to make people be much more careful about their job performance....real fear of repercussion.

That event earned about 2 million with Bush speaking vs less than half that when he does not.
