Trump: Statement on John McCain
Facebook page for Donald J. Trump ^ | July 18, 2015 | Donald Trump

Posted on 07/18/2015 12:23:11 PM PDT by conservative98

I am not a fan of John McCain because he has done so little for our Veterans and he should know better than anybody what the Veterans need, especially in regards to the VA. He is yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job and helping the Vets. He is also allowing our military to decrease substantially in size and strength, something which should never be allowed to happen.

Furthermore, he was extremely disrespectful to the thousands upon thousands of people, many of whom happen to be his constituents, that came to listen to me speak about illegal immigration in Phoenix last week by calling them "crazies".

These were not "crazies"---these were great American citizens.

I have great respect for all those who serve in our military including those that weren't captured and are also heroes.

I want to strengthen our military and take care of our Veterans. I want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN especially for those that serve to protect our freedom. I am fighting for our Veterans!

It is Trump’s style that is so winning.

Yeah. He may be able to walk it back.

One of the things I like about Donald Trump is that he is willing to talk off the top of his comb-over. He walked back the statement on McCain right after he said it. But the MSM picked up on it and jumped all over it, like it was the most important statement ever made.

Trump is going to say a lot of stupid things over the course of the campaign. I think it is to his credit that he does not have every statement run by some committee to see if it will play well.

He is the Anti-Candidate Candidate.

In that sense it is refreshing to see him out there making the MSM go insane.

That being said, McCain is an ass.

Trump is not a conservative. People who think he is are being deluded. He has taken a position (which he never had before) on immigration and conservatives are flocking to his tent. His pro-choice, anti-2nd amendment statements of the past are suddenly being ignored. Fools rush in.

Trump’s record speaks for itself. He’s done great things for the Wounded Warriors for many years, unlike the Bushes who charged them over $100,000 to speak at their event.

Quick draw and battle ready. Trump fires back.

The guy will not bend the knee to all the politically correct who nurture hypocrisy. Rock ‘em, Donald.

Yes, his statements from 15 years ago. What fools.

Not defending McCain, but those men were identified as oppositional to ISIS and even had their lives threatened by appearing with McCain. The vague resemblance isn’t proof that, actually, these were ISIS members, even the leader, who just happened to be hanging around there in secret. Arabs all look alike. In fact, being a Spaniard, I have Arabic ancestry, and I’ve seen more than one Arab who looks just like I do, except that their skin color is dark while I am white.

We use the word “hero” most liberally nowadays. Were all the Union troops who were captured by the confederates heros? What about our troops who were captured by the Japanese during WW II? It can be quite easy for a pilot to get captured while following orders to fly over enemy territory. During WW II, more than a few of our aviators were captured after crash landing into enemy territory. We were glad to get them back, but few of them were seen as heros.

We’ve really hit a low when we’re just grateful to hear someone say they’ll follow the law and enforce our border and we actually think they might mean it because they’re not a politician.

Lets not forget the “Keating 5” and his citing of “poor judgment”

“Wonder if The Donald has the discipline needed to deal with a disgusting bureaucracy and a bunch of self-dealing lying politicians.”

The roughest part about .Gov is that you can’t fire anybody. Look at Learner for one...

In addition to doing a lousy job in taking care of our Vets, John McCain let us down by losing to Barack Obama in his run for President!

Thanks for posting the speech. I found very little wrong with the comments he made about McCain, which was a very small segment. Let’s put this in context. McCain isn’t much different from John Kerry. Neither one would have been in politics, IF McCain hadn’t been a POW (he would have returned and sold insurances while going home to beat his first wife). I understand from a person in his unit, that he was an arrogant spoiled brat, he wasn’t a good pilot and no one serving with him was surprised he was captured, .). John Kerry would be living off his trust fund instead of his wife’s vast fortune. The only thing that gave Kerry notice was his Winter Soldier/treasonous acts against American and his congressional Testimony, destroying the vets.

McCain is the one that called 15,000 people “crazies”. Does being a POW entitle him to do that? I see TRUMPS point, he is not a war hero. He merely survived, which is a human instinct. He has done nothing since except use his POW status the same way John Kerry used his Vietnam wounds to promote his importance.
