Fox News Poll: Reshuffling of GOP field, many agree with Trump on immigration (Jeb in 3rd place)

The latest Fox News national poll finds another reshuffling in the race for the 2016 Republican nomination, as Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker gets a post-announcement bump and businessman Donald Trump claims more of the spotlight.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton still dominates the Democratic race. Yet the poll also warns trouble may be ahead for her.

Among Republican primary voters, Trump captures 18 percent. He’s closely followed by Walker at 15 percent and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 14 percent.

I’m skeptical of any poll of republican primary voters that has Ted Cruz at an incredibly low 4%.

The lack of quality candidates is clearly indicated by the fact that 8 percent would like Joe Biden to run. That must be the drunken uncle contingent of the party.

Bush III and his stab-in-the-back shadow Rubio and all of the other illegal alien loving candidates should take a cue and drop out now. Walker, too, but I guess he gets another 15 minutes.

There’s been a major shift in the last five years in how voters want to handle illegal immigrants currently working in the United States. Today 64 percent favor setting up a system for them to become legal residents, up from 49 percent in 2010. And now 30 percent favor deportation, down from 45 percent five years ago.

I don't believe those poll numbers. Americans have consistently opposed illegal immigration and amnesty schemes by 60% and higher margins for years, but suddenly opinions have flipped and now 60% plus favor amnesty.

He’s too quiet, got some press, but played too coy on amnesty, wrong side of the trade fiasco, now same with recent vote setting up Obama to push through his Iran agreement with only 34 senate votes. Besides, Trump offers so much more clarity on the same topics Cruz spoke to. Cruz should play nice and line himself up with a VP slot on Trump ticket.

I’m not. The donors might like him but there’s a whole lot of heat without much to show for it AND he wants to increase visas, woohoo! More illegal immigrants and less jobs, what’s not to love?! /s

Cruz has been successfully demonized and ridiculed by the MSM as an extremist kook. He may be the brightest and most articulate of all the candidates, but his general appeal is limited. Green eggs and ham.

Me too. But even at 4 the Cruz position (8) on the Real Clear Poitics 5 most recent polls should solidify a bit. The candidates ahead of him, with the exception of Trump, are losing ground.

Assuming RCP adds this poll to their Last 5 I’ll post their update it in some future thread.

A Trump/Cruz ticket before the primary is going to evolve

Trump the deal maker will offer Cruz a deal he can’t refuse

New York/Texas........win-win.........win

Yes, Cruz keeps voting with the anti American losers. Why? And to make matters worse, he doesn’t make statements that would lead us to believe he realizes those votes were wrong.

I’m not sure who does their polls, but I too am skeptical.

Their numbers have jumped around like a frog on a hot plate this year.

Republican, are if nothing else consistent.

I saw a national poll that showed Cruz 2nd behind Trump.

Many agree with Trump on immigration

I have no idea what his position is on "immigration" but I agree with him on his comments about criminal aliens.
