A top establishment Republican donor reportedly wants Donald Trump banned from the first presidential debate.
Fox News will host the first GOP presidential debate on August 6 in Cleveland, and the debate will be limited to the top ten candidates “in an average of the five most recent national polls in the run-up” to the debate. Trump, who placed second in Fox News’s most recent national poll after his presidential announcement speech in which he took firm stances against illegal immigration and trade deals that harm American workers, is in line to be one of the 10 candidates on stage.
And that is not sitting well with some of the party’s top donors, many of whom favor pro-amnesty legislation and do want to see their establishment darlings like Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% challenged on the issue.
According to an Associated Press report, “Republican donor John Jordan said Monday that GOP leaders should take steps to block Trump’s access to the first presidential debate in early August.”
“Someone in the party ought to start some sort of petition saying, ‘If Trump’s going to be on the stage, I’m not going to be on there with him,'” Jordan told the AP. “I’m toying with the idea of it.”

Rove's folly is why we are in the present mess, both politically, legally and demographically.

Trump doesn’t have any donors.
These fools think that their Republican fool can act dumb, not argue, mumble inanities, support everything Democrats support, and still win.
They are scared that someone will use a loud, angry tone of voice, and their candidate will curl up in a fetal position on the floor and sob like John Boehner.
I think their ideal candidate would be something like Brucie Jenner.
Trump, like Reagan, will buy his own microphone.
As Cruz rises they will try and silence him.

The best way to do that is to have him land out of the Top Ten. Note that Fox is using national polls not polls from the states where the candidates are campaigning. This favors candidates with Name Recognition. Jeb will win them all. Carson and Walker will be up there and so will Rubio.
But will the lesser known (for now) Cruz make the cut?

ICE probably would get in trouble for doing their jobs anyway.
They haven’t done a sweep in my area in years.
One of the last sweeps of the onion fields here netted 280 plus out of 300 “workers”.
Since then, it’s seemed like they are under orders not to fulfill the directive of their job, enforce immigration laws.
He is probably afraid one of the GOP-e "chosen ones", like el Jebbo, will be shown to be the RINO fool he is. I strongly suspect this "GOP" donor wants open borders for cheap labor, and the Country be damned.
We'll see how loudly his money talks.
Incidentally, remember that it was Rove, who got Tom Tancredo banned from the White House in the previous decade, when Tancredo was trying in vain to wake America up to what was going on on the immigration front.
They also got a nod and a wink from the Bush 43 regime.

Something about the above text says a great deal and it ain’t all that good. These same donors attack dems for their thought police tactics.
One thing is for sure. If the establishment GOP are so right in their views then their candidate should easily be able to support their views in a debate.
As long as Rove and his type are kingmakers of the Republican party they will continue to alienate the base by chasing the skim from mega-dollar donors.
