They said it was a “protest” not a terrorist attack. Now there’s more proof that they lied. The Obama administration knew al-Qaeda was planning an attack in Benghazi to “kill as many Americans as possible” ten days in advance. Judicial Watch reported: Judicial Watch announced today that it obtained more than 100 pages of previously classified “Secret” documents from the Department of Defense (DOD)and the Department of State revealing that DOD almost immediately reported that the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was committed by the al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood-linked “Brigades of the Captive Omar Abdul Rahman” (BCOAR), and had been planned at least 10 days in advance. Rahman is known as the Blind Sheikh, and is serving life in prison for his involvement in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and other terrorist acts. The new documents also provide the first official confirmation that shows the U.S. government was aware of arms shipments from Benghazi to Syria.

am I reading this incorrectly? The headline makes it sound like the Obama administration knew there would be an attack 10 days before it happened. But when I read it it sounds like their intelligence after-the-fact found out it was planned 10 days before the attack.
the former means we knew we were going to be attacked and did nothing the latter means we knew it was a terrorist attack and covered it up as a protest that turned violent, which we already knew was the fact.

What was the interest in this attack by “Brigades of the Captive Omar Abdul Rahman”, weapons, or something to trade for Stevens???? There is too much deep doo doo here that has yet to come out. There had to be a secret arrangement behind this, and who agreed to it? This attack continues to have a real putrid stink to it. Yeah, call it a conspiracy theory, but I can’t be convinced otherwise. Sorry we had to lose brave men who went to rescue the ambassador not knowing what was actually going on. Had Doughty and Woods been involved, Stevens would be alive today and Rahman would have been in Egypt, but his stay there would have been a short one, I am sure Sisi would have seen to that.

In the New Free Republic, actually reading the article has fallen out of fashion, only a few old farts do it these days. I suspect that many posters don’t even read the headline, or at least they don’t understand what the headline says.
The thread, however, has taken on its own life, many posts after the disconnect pointed out by Freeper marron. Months from today, threads and comments will proclaim the headline to be a proven fact, as read right hear on FR. I’m not sure that either statement is true, but both are not likely to be so.

Trey Gowdy and EVERY person on that committee has known all of this from the beginning, He has done everything possible to bury all the evidence he could for the simple reason, it all leads to the LEADERSHIP OF BOTH PARTIES!
Remember ALL THINGS INTELLIGENCE, goes through a Secret Special Senate Committee comprised of an equal number of Senior Senators from both parties. In other words THEY ARE ALL IN IT UP TO THEIR EYEBALLS!!
They knew the threats were escalating. There have been numerous communications revealed in which Ambassador Stevens was pleading for more security.
I do remember ‘words’ and most of the ‘words’ didn’t touch the ‘truth’ so guessing were ‘most words’

Planning an attack .. or planning an attack specifically at Benghazi? If the latter it makes no sense that Stevens was even in Benghazi that day ... unless they wanted him dead.
The media will not cover this. They would rather obsess over something a Republican candidate said.
