In the New Free Republic, actually reading the article has fallen out of fashion, only a few old farts do it these days. I suspect that many posters don’t even read the headline, or at least they don’t understand what the headline says.
The thread, however, has taken on its own life, many posts after the disconnect pointed out by Freeper marron. Months from today, threads and comments will proclaim the headline to be a proven fact, as read right hear on FR. I’m not sure that either statement is true, but both are not likely to be so.
I do remember ‘words’ and most of the ‘words’ didn’t touch the ‘truth’ so guessing were ‘most words’

If I may, the reason why it has come to this is that the all-important yet intellectually vapid "buzzword" has completely taken over. Couple that with defeatism and here we are.
It's a race to see who will be the first to use a buzzword on any thread, no matter what the subject is. I mean, who cares what the posted article says?
