Something is wrong here. First of all, Hillary gets to decide how many times she will come before the Committee and secondly, John Kerry can refuse to hold onto her e-mails and not turn them over? Something smells here. The longer this drags on, the less of an issue it will be. That's Hillary's strategy; out of sight, out of mind.

He seemed like a pit bull two years ago. Don’t know what happened. Or if his hands are really tied.

He said that Clinton only agreed to one meeting with the Congressional Committee ...

Why is Clinton permitted to agree or disagree about appearing before Congress to answer questions about her official conduct? Drag her butt in there for as many times as it takes to get answers. If she won't come, subpoena her. If she won't submit, arrest her. Put her on TV not answering - or answering in her inimitably clumsy way - questions about her roles in leaving the Benghazi staff to die, stealing billion$ from State, influence peddling, etc, etc, etc.

I’m not sure what power the Senate committee has, but Sylvester Stallone was subpoenaed to testify about his testosterone use. (He was pinpointed in an FBI sting for importing the hormone.) I read he wrote back saying, “I’m 61 years old and still doing action pictures. Kiss my ass.” I never read another thing about it. But the baseball player testified, lied and it destroyed his career. If Stallone got away with saying no perhaps they have no enforcement power?

Because she declined? Or just ignored the subpoena?

Blumenthal, a private citizen was subpoenaed to appear and did, but Hillary, also a private citizen, can't be subpoenaed to appear? This criminal cabal in DC needs to be taken out.

Your question is good, but mine is “Why hasn’t she yet appeared in an orange jumpsuit?”

Why Hillary has not yet appeared before Trey Gowdy's Committee

The political dance around this issue is mind-boggling.
The answer is a classic case of Occams Razor.

The answer is simple. She would have to testify under oath, and she is guilty as sin. Her husband was impeached but not convicted purely as a political accident at the time. She has no hope in hell of escaping perjury charges should she be forced to testify before a Congressional committee. Conviction and jail time are almost inevitable, and her previous performance as an amnesiac, claiming "I do not recall" and "I don't remember" HUNDREDS OF TIMES could not possible work a second time.

She compounds her arrogance by trumpeting her claim that she has "turned over all the emails" related to her criminal behavior as Secretary of State which are required by numerous Federal Laws. Felonies.

Why has she not appeared?
Because she's guilty as sin and there is no escape, this time.

The Queen doesn’t deign to lower her royal self to such a thing. The Queen is the law and you miserable peons will obey her.

We only get to see a fraction of what is going on.

If the Democrats are fighting so hard publicly, imagine what they are threatening in private conversations.

“Yeah, she’s guilty, but we’ll.......”

Once the press figures out that Hillary is an awful human being who will destroy them if they support her criminal behavior, then the game is up.

I suspect the game is already up. They’re just negotiating Hillary’s future.
