"Duck Dynasty" star Jep Robertson is opening up about sexual abuse he says happened when he was just a child.
The reality star, 37, has written a book "The Good, the Bad, and the Grace of God: What Honesty and Pain Taught Us About Faith, Family, and Forgiveness," and decided to speak to "Entertainment Tonight" about claims in the book he was abused at the age of 6.
"It was on a school bus. It was an older girl," he said, not revealing her name. "There was this girl there that was just real mean. I think in the end, I think probably she was just terribly abused herself. But it was a lot of things took place and scary stuff. It was tough."
Robertson claimed he didn't tell anyone about what that girl did to him.
"I didn't want to go to school. I had a lot of absences," he told "ET," adding his mother always thought he was just sick.
Robertson added that it was his wife, Jessica, who helped him get through it by talking it out.

Unlike the Josh revelation, this isn’t dirty laundry. He is telling us what happened to him as a young child. It may help others in similar circumstances.
Just because everyone else jumps off a cliff doesn’t mean you have to.
Please don’t let the Robertsons go down the same path as the Duggers and the Jenner/Kardashians.

I had a mild one Easter Morning and just had a trip to ER and was out in a few hours and there are things I don’t remember anymore and things that popped back up outta nowhere. I will say I have MORE CRS than before.

The idea of sharing one’s pain/problem/dirty laundry comes mostly from the psychobabblers. They feed on the authority given their particular carny. This translates to “can’t go it alone,” “need help and support,” or “talking it out is healing.” These negate the idea of self reliance, they negate coming to a conclusion and making a decision, they support the idea that only a collective can succeed.
Jep, may be a savvy business man. This may generate book sales, and the added publicity that the salacious always does. Sounds like the family is pretty tight and can weather any $torm. But it really isn’t anyone elses business.
Bring back the Victorian strength of character sense of privacy (believe maybe victorian prudery stopped dead at the locked bedroom door).

Because the truth will set you free. Only if the revelation will make the culture “healthier” can it be good. What he is “revealing” is the extreme dehumanization and warping of a child’s Reality when sexually abused which leads to self-hate (and hatred of God).
Today’s hyper-sexualized culture (Sex Ed) is an abuse on the minds and moral formation of ALL children, and this idea, that little children can “handle” sexual abuse or adult concepts which excites their Limbic area of the brain instead of suppressing it (latency), is evil. Sex Ed is a Marxist invention to warp the sexuality of children and fixate them in a puerile age.
Sexually abused children form the muslim “worldview” of self-hate/God-hate-—which leads to a lot of self-mutilation or destructive behaviors. That ability to love and trust is GONE unless a loving family (God) can restore that trust/love in the child. They learn fear and hate from the experience-—with desires that are not healthy.
The “event” almost totally destroyed his ability to be “normal” and have positive interactions-—by the loss of trust in adults that occurs when children are left in situations where they can not be protected by the parents (like in all artificial institutions prior to age 8—and then, parents better KNOW who is responsible for their child’s welfare, when out of sight.).
Had the person been a male who molested him-—it would have warped his whole conception of male/female-—like in the Afghani population. He can literally thank God, that didn’t happen, because of the unnatural warping that would have done with embedded emotions in connection with the male abuser.
All emotions are tied to experiences-—and that mixture of hate, fear, etc in child molestations only warp their perceptions of Reality and Love and lead to self-hate and lack of trust (in God/parents).
I think the Robertsons are a bit more grounded and a lot more intelligent than the other two. But, then, I’ve actually seen a Duck Dynasty show, unlike the others, so maybe I’m biased.
Sex sells. Perverted or otherwise. In this case, it is selling a book.
I’m sorry but that is not abuse.
I am not condoning young children experimenting with sexual curiosities but this is not abuse. It is two children who should have been under closer supervision but it is not abuse.
Gee is everyone just looking for an excuse to be a victim? I had higher hopes for the Robertson clan.

I read his account. It sounded like childish experimentation to me as it was written.
I am not excusing molesting children by an adult in fact I would be for the removing of offensive parts from said mans anatomy. Probably, Lord forbid, if it was my child I would have to be restrained to not kill perp.
I don’t know. But the Robertsons of all people. they already know that the media is out to get them. Why give them ammunition to use against you?
