The panic that dare not speak its name: Hillary looks like a loser to Dems
American Thinker ^ | 06/06/2015 | Thomas Lifson

No Democrats are willing to go on the record with their doubts about Hillary Clinton’s electability – not even the gaggle of hopeless, sad-sack nominal opponents for the nomination: Lincoln “metric system” Chafee, Bernie “socialism now!” Sanders, and Martin “the guy who taxed rain” O’Malley.  But a shocking potential rival is waiting in the wings.

The realization is dawning on many in the jackass party that they have an unappealing, gaffe-prone, self-entitled, scandal-ridden presumptive nominee on their hands.  I called out the growing  subterranean panic three weeks ago.  Now with CNN polling revealing movement away from Hillary, the conservative press (here, here, and here, for instance) is joining me in highlighting the panic that the Democrats still fear open mention of.

The problem for the Dems is that their bench is ridiculously thin.  Leave aside the joke candidates already in the field, and all they’ve got is Elizabeth Warren, who, for all her socialist rhetoric (and personal profiteering from real estate flipping) and her affirmative action gamesmanship as a phony Native American, is a good talker.  But even in deep blue Massachusetts she was unable to deliver a convincing victory in her Senate run.  And perhaps knowing about more hypocrisy in her background, she is not anxious at all to throw herself into a run for the White House, with all the scrutiny that would entail.

Jeb and Lindsey - along with McCain - are the worst among the GOP, and Hillary could beat them.

I just hope sneaky Rubio will not get the nomination. Anyone thinking of voting for him should reflect on his lies and his amnesty bill.

Romney would have dug his heels in with the power of the presidency against any effort to purge from the Senate "GOP" ranks such business marionettes as Bob Corker, LAMAR!!! Alexander, Thad Cockroach, Lisa Murkowski, Mark Nancy Boy Kirk, Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Robert Portman, John McCain, and Jeff Flake just to name ten who deserve to be purged.

A good list. Note that these weasels come from states like Tennessee, Kentucky, Alaska, Texas and Arizona. None of these states are known to be social "moderate" (though Alaska leans right libertarian). Only Kirk and Portman (IL and OH) come from states where we can expect to get RINOs as often as not.

I believe you closed the case rather superbly on the theme of voting as a robot Republican.

I can vote for someone pretty lame, if he or she can just manage to cough up a lifetime of their history showing support for Life issues, anti-abortion and euthanasia, and pro-traditional marriage, and for normal male and female status candidates. I can’t vote for anyone without those virtues, however.

Romney could never cut it. He was thought to be pretty, and definitely wealthy, also smooth, sort of debonair and
with the bearing of a governor. And, yet, he was nearly demonic for what he produced in his thought labs, in Massachusetts, and then forced down the throats of decent thinking people, and Church institutions there. Who the hell votes *for* that stuff and sleeps at night?

So, back to the point. Virtues matter. It’s all we have to count on, in others and in ourselves as well.

Even if Zschau had beaten Cranston (running for his 4th and final term), he likely would not have survived the 1992 onslaught (against Boxer) just as Gov. Wilson’s milquetoast RINO appointee, John Seymour, went down in flames to Feinstein. When your so-called “moderate” voters have a choice between a squish RINO vs. an authentic moonbat Dem, you can guess which way they go. The last time they didn’t do that was in 1982 when Wilson faced off against Jerry Brown for Sam Hayakawa’s open Senate seat, and that only because California was sick of Jerry’s $hit after 12 years in continuous statewide office.

I’ll note it was outsider Conservative Bruce Herschensohn who was on track to defeat Boxer in 1992 (and who outpolled the sitting Sen. Seymour), and he might very well have done so had she not gone nuclear on him (folks forget that Boxer has ALWAYS campaigned to win, and has run some of the most vicious, savage and ugly campaigns ever seen — learned at the foot of her mentor, John Burton). It was particularly curious Boxer’s former in-law Hillary did not similarly pursue the nuclear option in 2008 against Zero to get the nomination (until someone probably reminded her that if she did, the fallout would’ve ensured a McCain win - despite his clearly being a ringer for Zero).

As often said, sometimes the cure to the Democrats put up by the GOP is worse than the disease. One enormous reason why I was never going to vote for Willard for President under any circumstances. If either he or McCain had won, the GOP would have numbers in Congress today comparable to after the 1958 elections... or maybe 1936. We have no choice but to elect an actual Conservative, anything else will only continue to enable the left.

Zschau ran in 1986, while we lost several very close races (6 by less than 2 ponts!), the final tally was rat + 8, from 47 to 55.

I’ll give you some credit. You weren’t stupid enough to pull a Lakeshark and post a picture of Yosemitie Sam on a Dragon as your best argument.

“Ed Zschau for Senate??? One seat and all we had to do was accept baby-killing as normal for Republican candidates? No thanks! There are several non-negotiables out there: babies, guns, judges, among them. If we were to “accept” Ed Zschau and his enthusiasm for baby-killing, what are we? “

Great point, and good post overall.

Norm and I joke about the fact that since last November, We are both batting 1,000 in regards to what our Republican House & Senate will say or do to America. Since November, the GOP in D.C. has given Obama 100% of what he wanted. 20 years of “turning the cheek” and voting for the “lesser evil” has now given us NOTHING but evil.

All of my adult life, I have voted for, and often worked for conservative candidates. I will make a disclosure here....

I voted for GHWB the first time, and almost immediately regretted it. I did NOT vote for him the second time.

I voted for GWB the first time, not the second.

I did not vote for McCain, who by the way openly campaigned for Obama during the POTUS race. Ever see a man openly endose his opponent before? McCain did just that

I did not vote for evil, scumbag Romney. How can anyone who claims to be a conservative vote for evil ? Sorry, I won’t do it. Not on a local or national election.

Even more ominous for the ethically messed-up Hillary----Republican Carly Fiorina rocketed in the polls and is now the Number 4 favored candidate---right after she took on Hillary.

Carly lambasted Hillary for not answering questions---and brilliantly scheduled a presser outside Hillary's staged appearances which bussed-in Democrat factotums.

This is more dangerous for the calculated Hillary---b/c she was counting on being untouchable, "above reproach"----planning to win by acclamation (that is to say without the cheering crowds).

Now it looks like she's fair game. Let the slings and arrows fly....bring it on, rank and file Republicans.

‘The Democratic Party was decimated in 2014. All of their rising stars were wiped out...very few governors are Democrats. Hilary’s one of the few left standing.’

The treasure trove of "The 2014 Midterm Democrat Demolition Derby" and down-ticket state wins have yet to be fully- mined, but this we know:

DEMOCRAT LOSSES MADE HISTORY---top to bottom.

<><> midterms were a massive and awesome rejection of liberals;

<><> Southern Democrats control not a single governorship, US senator or legislative chamber,

<><> Democrat losses stretch from the Carolinas westward to Texas,

<><> 110 Of 140 Southern States election districts went Republican.

<><> GOP's House majorities are so huge and solid NBC's Chuck Todd says Dems can't recapture losses until 2022.

<><> Some pundits say Republicans have a 100-year majority;

<><> when the next US Senate convenes, 30 lock-stepping Democrats who voted for Obamacare are gone.

<><> Ark and Ill (Clinton hometowns) have Repub governors---important in a prez race b/c guvs control party machinery.

<><> Unprecedented MINN 6th Congressional district---every single House and Senate district went Repub

<><> GOP now controls the MINN State House.

<><> Ohio's historic GOP statehouse takeover (Gun Control is toast)

<><> Ohio's Gov, Lt. Gov, AG, Secy of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer--all R---Sup/Ct - 6 R/1 D

<><> Britt Hume sez: "latino vote is zilch"---"over-50" is significant 30% voting segment.

<><> Republicans unified control: gov/legislature in 23 states (Ntl Conference of State Legislatures factoid).

<><> Repub governorships: Florida, Tx, Ill, Ohio, Mich, MD, Wisconsin, NC, GA, Mass.

<><> GOP holds every congressional seat in Arkansas; first time in 141 years...

<><> Environmentalists fogged out---suffered huge losses.

<><> Gun Control Candidates blitzed.

<><> "War on Women" became a ntl joke.

<><> Clinton's labeled politically useless---most candidates they flacked lost.

<><> Montana, So/Dakota and West/VA Dems were forced to retire; no hope of getting re-elected,

<><> Arizona House recount race went Republican.

<><> AZ Republican McSally wins last open House seat (Dem Gaby Giffords seat),

<><> Repub McSally's win gives GOP 5-4 advantage in AZ congressional delegation,

<><> Repubs hold 247 House seats (Dems 188), the largest GOP advantage since the Truman admin after WWII.

<><> 73 percent of LA's white voters say told they "strongly disapproved" of the president.

<><> Republicans hold the largest House majority in 83 years.

<><> Republicans holds 68 of 98 state legislative chambers.

<><> 2015 Republican grip on state government has not been seen since the 1920s.

<><> Republicans hold or share control in nearly every state (7 states' legislature and Governor are Dem-held).

<><> 12 states, including Missouri, Arizona, Arkansas, NC will push income tax cuts and fiscal reform.

<><> Illinois’ new Repub Governor’s top priority is reforming its nearly-bankrupt public pension system.

<><> Vermont Democrats allied w/ VT conservative Repubs to ward off voter backlash

<><> controversial and seemingly incompetent VT Democrat governor did not get the requisite votes to stay in office.

<><> VT poised to install Vermont's first Republican governor in over four years

<><> Republicans now control two-thirds of the state legislatures.

<><> Since Democrats lost power, approval of Congress has risen 6% under Republicans.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________

This article was written 4 days ago. Where has the author of this article been? Bernie Sanders is “No Joke”. He is closing in on Hillary in the polls, drawing larger crowds in IA and NH than any of the candidates and resonating with a LARGE segment of the DemocRAT Party. I’m sure he has Thunder Thighs, and her campaign staff, crapping down both legs. I would NEVER vote for a Bernie Sanders, but the dude is no longer a “joke” candidate. I hope he, along with all the scandals (Benghazi, Cleaned E-mail Server, Clinton Cash) knocks Hillary out of the race. He won’t win the General Election, but, if she is the Dem nominee, she could win. So............

BERN BABY; BERN!
