The current main pop-culture headline involves former Olympian Bruce Jenner “transitioning” into a woman. He’s on the cover of Vanity Fair as “Caitlyn,” and he’ll be receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPY Awards.
Sadly, a large segment of our culture celebrates that which shouldn’t be celebrated. Jenner needs compassion — he obviously has a significant mental affliction — but he certainly doesn’t deserve an award for courage. There’s nothing courageous about a man living as a woman.
On a related note, transgender activists in Canada are now lobbying to abolish gender references from birth certificates.

The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal has agreed to review complaints filed by the Trans Alliance Society and a handful of transgender and intersex individuals, who argue that doctors should stop assigning the sex of a baby based on a quick inspection of the baby’s genitals at birth when there’s a possibility they may identify under a different gender, or no gender, years later.
‘Birth certificates (may) give false information about people and characterize them in a way that is actually wrong, that assumes to be right, and causes people … actual harm,’ said Morgane Oger, a transgender woman in Vancouver and chair of the society.

Not really different from any of the other crap on TV. I pulled the plug 15 years ago, have not watched "news" since except when forced to at other houses. That's when I point out things like what you just said to the TV watchers.

The left thinks Jenner is a woman when science clearly proves he is a man. Then they have the nerve to call conservatives “science deniers”.
In my heart and mind I’m really 6’8” even though my medical records say I’m 3’2”. Therefore I should be permitted to go on all the rides at the amusement park.
It’s not a culture of insanity as much as it’s the entertainment and news media of insanity. They are creating a false reality.
It’s my daughter’s name (spelled differently) and she’s not happy, either! Neither am I.
Call him Estro Jenner.
Despite the slinky lingerie and photoshopping, Jenner still is no different than a drag queen gracing the Vanity Fair cover.
The thing that gets me is while the media is all fawn and swoon and breathless whispers about this, we might get nuked back into the stone age!
I think it was to distract the press from his reckless driving that killed someone. And it sure worked, didn't it?
His 6 begotten kids + 4 step kids, + I think his mother is still living --- all under maximum public pressure to say they love this creature Caitlin, she's gorgeous --- while they're dying inside...
One worries that the very nice girl's name Caitlin will now be discarded from lists of potential future family names

Tragically the picture is not disgusting. When I saw it on Drudge I said what a good looking woman. Then when I found out who it was, I wanted to gag.
I thought about it and I figured that an army of make-up artists and plastic surgeons can make any man look like an attractive woman for about 15 minutes, but it doesn’t make that man a true woman.
Once I learned that SI, Vogue, Cosmo....all of those magazines use airbrushing, the mystery and true beauty was all gone. It’s a joke to think of these people now.
I think he has a mental illness.Why have all those kids if you want to be a woman.
