Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) called for a national ban on the use of tanning devices, which she described as essentially carcinogen delivery systems, by those under 18, on Wednesday at the U.S. Capitol.

I’m sure this is what the founders had in mind.
My gym, which is next to FSU, has 8 tanning beds. I’ve never seen anybody go in. They are, apparently used but not much. So, how serious is this? Should government be involved? If so, where else might government see a need for their helpful parental advice and rules?
It seems to me there are already lots of tanning regulations as the gym manager was complaining about them.
I deeply apologize to all my FreeRepublic colleagues!
So what is Keith Richard trying to us? That being over 18 is safe, under 18 is dangerous - OK. OMG Keith must have been in the sun alot look at that face.
Saddest part of this whole thing is the idiots in the NY end of CT keep reelecting this wacko
My kids were born tan. In 5 minutes in the sun they are golden brown - corpo durado... How the heck is an ignorant totalitarian @&$! Like this disaster of a human being going to tell the difference? “Trust us, we’ll know” is it? Liberalism is a mental disorder...
Esposito ("El Presidente"): "From this day on, the official language of San Marcos will be Swedish. In addition to that, all citizens will be required to change their underwear every half-hour. Underwear will be worn on the outside so we can check."
Well at least she has some fashion sense.
...that’s from the Woody Allen film, Bananas
that was a great movie! I love all his movies before he became serious about himself and started molesting stepdaughters
Ban tanning beds.
Because these are the IMPORTANT issues of today.
Tanning under 18: Bad
Killing unborn children when Mother is under 18: Good
Good luck, woman. Every high school female junior and senior starts getting that prom tan in March; they’ll simply get their mother to buy the tanning and walk in with mama, and get the tan for her.
lol.. She hard to look at. I didn’t even know people under 18 could use tanning devices.I’m a little iffy on this issue. there’s no reason for kids to be in these machines. Let them get cancer from the Sun like everybody else at the beach
Let’s take away their cell phones while we’re at it (sarc)!
Yikes, did you have to post that picture? A good many of us west of the Mississippi are still eating breakfast, lol...
Saul Alinsky on "Change"... From Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing:
"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution."
Saul Alinsky, The Latter Rain (Latter-Rain.com is a "Liberation Theology" commie-left website -etl) http://latter-rain.com/ltrain/alinski.htm
This is precisely the end to which the communists in government have brought us. The vast, great swath of Americans is fed up and burned out on the hopey changey of Obama and his comrads. They (we) are ready for change that will bring us back to the greatness they have sought to destroy.
