Washington (CNN)Jeb Bush says he thinks he can sell the Republican base on his position on immigration -- and he's hitting opponents who have changed their positions on the issue.
"I get a sense that a lot of people can be persuaded, to be honest with you," the former Florida governor told Fox News in a preview of his interview with host Megyn Kelly that aired Sunday.
Bush has urged a respectful tone toward undocumented immigrants and has said it should be easier for those immigrants to gain legal status.

That position is anathema to much of the party's conservative base, which opposes "amnesty" in any form -- particularly the executive actions President Barack Obama has taken to allow immigrants who were brought into the United States as children to stay, as well as the undocumented parents of U.S. citizen children. Bush said he would repeal Obama's unilateral actions.

Jeb is going to try to out Hillary, Hillary.
I’ve been thinking on immigration and border control for at least 20 years and I haven’t been “persuaded” yet.
He won’t persuade this voter. He’s simply siphoning off hundreds of millions of dollars from other candidates and helping Hillary win.
Someone needs to ask Jeb if he could be persuaded that he is completely wrong.
Piss off you wanker. Damned entitlement candidates.
A path for instant citizenship so they can vote for me and make you pick up the tab gor all their expenses. I so despise the bubble people who are completely bought and paid for by the political machine. No common sense or empathy for the little people. None at all.
I’ll second your FUJB...
No Jeb, lied to like you do ...
He is another bastard who wants to inflict the refugee racket on America, think the Boston Marathon.
Not me.
I get the sense, Jeb, that you are an amnesty proponent and a freakin' moderate's moderate.
Why is this clown even in the mix?
Only if the GOP-E helps him.
No one, especially the GOP-E, is owed those votes.

1. SECURE THE BORDER
2. KICK EVERY ILLEGAL WHO HAS ENTERED THIS COUNTRY IN THE LAST 5 YEARS OUT
3. SHOW US THAT WE HAVE OBTAINED FIRM CONTROL OVER ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
THEN, talk to me about changing who we should let in legally.
I AIN’T INTERESTED IN HEARING A WORD ABOUT IT UNTIL ITEMS 1-3 HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED!
