RUSH: The media's breathlessly waiting on the White House response to the new developments to the Texas terror attack, is because they haven't called it a terror attack yet. Or maybe they have in the last few moments, but from the moment this happened, they said, "Wait a minute, now, we can't jump the gun on this."
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Speaking of the White House reaction to terrorism, let me get back to this. Just a couple of points on this. Did you see yesterday where Josh Earnest, the White House spokesman, said that the Garland, Texas, attack "appears to be an attempted terrorist attack"? He said it just "appears" to be an attempted terrorist attack. Now, what more would it take to convince the White House that it was a real terrorist attack and not just an attempt?
What do you mean an "attempt"?
"It appears to be an attempted terrorist attack. After all, one person was shot." Is it body-count related? Do the terrorists need to get a body count up before it's more than just an "attempted" attack? Needless to say, even though Josh Earnest did manage to say the T-word yesterday, "terrorist," he and the White House reporter still managed to avoid the dreaded M-word, "Muslim." There's no Muslim terrorism. Yeah, there was some terrorism going on, but it was just attempted.
"It appears to be an attempted terrorist attack."
There were all kinds of qualifiers. Of course, the Regime hates to jump to conclusions -- except about stupid cops. Then that's a different story. When there is the slightest allegation of any kind of police misconduct, it's automatic, and it happened, and the White House is out trumpeting it! And if they're wrong about it, maybe they'll fix it later. But they have to be careful about what they say about terrorists, because there might be a backlash against peaceful Muslims.
But, on the other hand, they can accuse the cops of just about anything.
Because there apparently is no risk of backlash against the police.
Bitter sarcasm there, folks.

RUSH: The White House press secretary briefing this afternoon, Josh Earnest got a question from Fox News Kevin Corke.
He said, "I want to ask you about Texas. Is there any news out of the allegation that ISIS may have been involved with the attack?" Now, me put this in perspective. ISIS has already claimed credit for the attack. ISIS claimed credit for the attack two minutes before the attack. They tweeted, one of these perps tweeted two minutes before shots were fired that there were gonna be shots fired. ISIS has claimed credit. It's no longer a curiosity, but yet today at the White House press briefing Fox News correspondent Kevin Corke said to the press secretary Josh Earnest, "Now, I want to ask you about Texas. Is there any news out of the allegation that ISIS may have been involved in this attack in Texas?"
EARNEST: No, I don't have enough intelligence assessment to share. What the intelligence community is trying to do is they're trying to investigate specifically ISIL's claim of responsibility, and that involves more than just authenticating that the claim published yesterday originated from ISIL. The analysts want to review whether the claim is accurate, and if so, at what level ISIL may have known or potentially even sanctioned this attempted attack. There's a lot to review here, and that work has not yet been completed.
RUSH: I mean, it's obvious the Regime is doing everything they can to prove ISIS innocent here. They're going out of their way to try to construct a scenario where they can credibly say that ISIS cannot conclusively be shown to have committed the attack. I mean, this is just rich. (imitating Earnest) "Well, the analysts want to review whether the claim is accurate, and if so at what level ISIL may have known or potentially even sanctioned this attempted attack." There were shots fired, somebody got hit, and it's still an attempt. "There's a lot to review here, and that work has not yet been completed."
Somebody get Marilyn Mosby on the case. We would have known last week what happened here. They're really going out of their way. They are going out of their way at the Regime to exonerate ISIS here. Oh, they would love to be able to do that. They would love to be able to. I can't wait. They would love to be able to lay this off on some deranged extremist, somebody they would call an extreme right-wing kook.

The Press Spokesman is always the face of any Administration and they always have to essentially lie and twist the truth.
So he strategically and consistently chooses these pathetic guys to be the dishonest face of the Admin. Thus again white males are the “fall guys” for his dishonesty...
In reality, his press spokesman should be Al SharpTongue.
