Americans will defend to the death — and literally had to — Pamela Geller’s right to disseminate images of the Prophet Muhammad. The First Amendment applies even to irresponsible provocateurs.
A Geller-organized event in Texas over the weekend included inviting artists to draw images of Muhammad, an act that has provoked deadly attacks by some Islamists.
In explaining her rationale, Geller pointed to an Iranian Holocaust cartoon contest that drew nearly 1,000 entries, saying “We need to make a similar show of strength of what is right.” Which extended to a drawing of Muhammad anally impaled on a pencil up through his mouth.

Some things never change. Many will die if we do not begin dealing with a reality which is right out there, in front of us. We see it but we refuse to acknowledge it because it is nasty.

Just watched Geller on FoxNews with McCallum.
McCallum held the company line: ‘you are offending Islam!’

It makes one wonder what part of ‘free speech’ the media doesn’t understand.
McCallum kept trying to bring up moral equivalents. Geller shoved them back in her face.
Geller brought up that Islam commands Christians to convert or die.
That didn’t register with McCallum — ‘well, they die as martyrs.’
Thats actually going to be the best counter to this.
The current interpretation of the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protections Clause is an incredibly powerful tool to use in leveling the playing field.
What we really need on our side is a well financed and organized Conservative version of the ACLU that would use the same sort of lawfare tactics the Left does, rooted in the 14th Amendment. I think the ACLJ comes closest amongst Conservative legal groups, but there still seems to be a hestitancy to go the full “sue anything that moves, see what sticks” route Progressives go.
I keep hearing about the “Radical Islamist”. Just who are these people and how do they differentiate from Islam itself. Are not the ISIS terrorists doing exactly what the Muslims did in the 7TH century, killing, pillaging, raping and forcing Islam on everyone in their path by force? There is no difference between what they did then and what they are doing now. ISIS = ISLAM = ISIS no difference.

When the sharia enforcers open fire on scantily clad Hollywood celebs at their next gala, will they take the blame for dressing provocatively? Or submit to a modesty dress code so they won’t “provoke”? How about when a homosexual marriage is targeted for an attack? How about if gays go back in the closet so they don’t “provoke” the prophet groupies ... look what happens to them in Iran.

We already are giving up our rights to sing our national anthem, display our flag, say our pledge of allegiance, screen movies the muslims and other interlopers into our nation find offensive

This morning, Fox News Airhead Martha Maccallum kept asking Ms. Geller why did she provoke them. Again Martha felt Pam did wrong. She then showed remarks by Donald Trump, and a Catholic representative Donahue (I think) of their statement that what Pam did was irresponsible. That airhead does not understand.
Pamela Geller is an American hero, plain and simple. As Rush said yesterday, if these idiots want to go along with the tenets of islam in regards to cartoons, where will they draw the line? Just submit now and convert, cowards!
