Posters promoting a "straight pride" week at a northeast Ohio university were removed this week after student leaders determined that the message went beyond free speech.
Youngstown State University student government leaders told WKBN-TV they decided to remove the posters after consulting with university officials.
The posters were hung around campus earlier this week. They included profanity and promoted the event as a time to not highlight sexual orientation or differences among students. They encouraged students to "go about your day without telling everyone about how 'different' you are."

A statement from the student government said while it respects free speech of all students, the posters weren't authorized, contained vulgar language and missed the point of activism.
I love the notion that free speech must be authorized and that the point of activism apparently means agree with me. I'll concede the point on profanity, grudgingly, since they don't tell us exactly what it was.
Having been in college, I'll bet this response from the SGA will provoke a second round of posters, ramping up the rhetoric.

I’ll just bet they “missed the point of activism”. To our nazified leadership, “activism” is the promotion of leftist causes. But even then, check with Big Brother to make sure you’re the “victim du jour”, just so you don’t step on the activism of a victim group higher up in the hierarchy than you.
They could have made a better point and had a better position if they had not used “vulgar” language on the posters.
So straight pride is offensive but sodomy isn’t?

the company i work for has turned hard left the past 8 years...Fortune 500 company...they now have a department of social responsibility and department of diversity and inclusion...every year they celebrate gay pride this, lbgt or whatever that...
i won’t bore with the details but they encouraged all the employees to check out the diversity and inclusion site and ask questions via the internet...
so i did and asked; “we will the company start celebrating hetrosexual pride month?” of course i’m not the only employee of the company who wants to know when this will happen...
four weeks later i get a phone call from one of the grand poobahs of the department of diversity and inclusion explaining why the company does not celebrate hetrosexual pride month...right off the bat i respond “you’re not diverse or inclusive if you’re not celebrating hetrosexual pride month. You’re selective and hypocritical”...
after a 20 minute conversation the grand poobah hung up angry as they realized they would not change my point of view...
