President Barack Obama appeared to poke fun at his critics Tuesday during an Easter prayer breakfast speech at the White House.
On Easter I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian I am supposed to love, Obama said. I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less-than-loving expressions by Christians I get concerned.
The President didn't specify what those "less-than-loving expressions" were.
"But that's a topic for another day," he added to laughter and applause from the audience. "I was about to veer off. I'm pulling it back."
Obama faced a barrage of criticism from the right earlier this year for his comments about Christianity at the National Prayer Breakfast. Critics berated him for stating that Christians shouldn't get on their "high horse" about religious barbarism, given the Crusades and Christian backing for slavery and Jim Crow laws.

Where do they find the sycophants who will debase themselves by laughing and applauding Baraq’s smarminess?

Did he tell us again to get off our high horse, and how some bad things were done in the name of Christ in medieval Europe? Did he also lecture about the Crusades this time around??

Never misses a chance to mock Christians. The messiah doesn’t like them a bit.

I pray for it, but I see no evidence of it.

As Christians, we are indeed called to “Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” Romans 12:9
This creep is once again twisting truth. We are to speak against evil, something he can’t even recognize.

I work in downtown Louisville. The president’s visit blocked my exit from town after work. I’m sitting there talking to people standing around waiting to get a glimpse of this monster as he leaves town. I just shake my head.
I went to a local pub and had a beer and met some nice people. We talked until he was long gone and the traffic was open.
On a side note, last year at this time I was in the Galt house downtown and saw a huge line of people waiting in line. They were all dressed nice. I asked someone in line what they were waiting for and a guy said, “To see Bill Clinton.” To which I said, probably a bit too loudly, “I have not seen a line like this since I waited at borders books in bellevue washington about 20 years ago to see Gennifer Flowers.
I didn’t mean to be a bore. It just popped into my head and fell out through my tongue. And yeah, I still have that signed book.

Love” the most misused word in our current vocabulary. It is used to cover numerous vile acts.

Does he recognize the irony in his statements? Does his audience? He demeans and ridicules his Christian critics every chance he gets. I believe, ultimately, and depending on how we hold ourselves, the outcome will be good for us; but not so good for him.

Kiss my fat rear, Obama. Your judgment is coming. I suggest you become more concerned about yourself and what you will have to answer for, and less so with others.
