Benghazi committee officially requests Clinton surrender her email server
Washington Times ^ | March 20, 2015 | Stephen Dinan

Posted on 03/20/2015 11:52:38 AM PDT by rdl6989

The committee investigating Benghazi formally requested Friday that Hillary Rodham Clinton turn her email server over to an independent third party so it can be scrutinized to determine whether she and the Obama administration complied with open-records laws.

Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy sent a letter to the former secretary of state’s personal lawyer making the request, which he said only comes after “exhaustive efforts” to get a look at her communications during the time of the 2012 terrorist attack on the diplomatic post in Libya’s second-largest city.

They are also after a half dozen/ dozen OTHER people’s emails, etc.

Shrillary sent the emails, so they will subpoena/demand those from the recipients.

Good strategy.

On the eve of the first anniversary of Benghazi Jeb award HRC the Liberty Medal, six months after hackers distributed clintonemail.com emails.

Issa dragged out his hearings, and came up with nuthin’. I expect the same from Gowdy.

Sadly, it’s all theater.

I hope you’re right. It just doesn’t feel right to me for this to drag on and on, just like every other corrupt action of this administration has.

There are so many unresolved scandals about corrupt acts that have occurred in the past 6 years...so many that I can no longer remember them all and have to use a computer to pull them up.

Quite vulnerable to ANY hacker worth his or her salt... OK, heres the article for discussion: "Thursday, 03/19/2015 - 12:15 pm EST The Hillary Clinton Email Scandal Just Keeps Getting Worse  Written by Miss CJ Turns out that Hillary's private email address that she used for State Department business was missing a key ingredient that you probably have on your home computer - basic internet security. (And this is a woman who maybe possibly kinda sorta wants to be President of the United States. Oh. Em. Gee.) According to this, Hillary's email servers were vulnerable to "spoofing" hacks, which means that hackers could have impersonated the "clintonemail.com" domain and opened up anyone sending or receiving emails from that domain to cyber attacks. Considering Hillary was using this email address as the freaking SECRETARY OF STATE and Lord knows who she was in contact with using that email address - THIS IS KIND OF A BIG DEAL! And this information isn't coming from some "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy" that's out to get the Clintons or anything. This is coming from cyber-security experts who say this is but one security gap in the clintonemail.com servers. Without getting too technical (because I can already see your eyes glazing over from all this tech-talk), whatever Geek Squad employee that set the thing up forgot to turn on the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) that keeps some basement hacker from sending a virus to the Prime Minister of France via Hillary's email account. This really ought to be getting MUCH more press and the media really ought to be hammering Hillary over this - but because it's Queen Hillary, everyone's all, "Nah we're cool. Unsecure email? No big! Still love ya, Hillz!" Yippee.

Follow on to my last post: from blog article:

” ...whatever Geek Squad employee that set the thing up forgot to turn on the Sender Policy Framework (SPF) that keeps some basement hacker from sending a virus to the Prime Minister of France via Hillary’s email account. ...”

And what if said hacker did his dirty deed to someone in the middle east????

I know Gator , but if charges were to be filed at this time so many are involved that it would great a constitutional crisis. Don’t think the chain of who’s eleigible to take office is near long enough. And since O would have to be impeached before he could stand trial it’s just as well to wait until he’s out of office.
I’m sure some secured voiced have discussed the situation at very high levels. It certainly is no longer a hidden situation. Others know a lot more than what is being leaked or discovered Thinking about the many crimes finally brought to trial in Chicago ( I’m sure people were discourage then too)

Operation Greylord
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Operation Greylord was an investigation conducted jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the IRS Criminal Investigation Division into corruption in the judiciary of Cook County, Illinois (the Chicago region).
The operation took place in the 1980s. Ninety-two people were indicted, including 17 judges, 48 lawyers, ten deputy sheriffs, eight policemen, eight court officials, and a member of the Illinois Legislature...

Operation Greylord...

Wow, that's encouraging. Haven't heard of that operation. Would love to see something like that repeat itself after the O admin, only a few magnitudes larger.

Just to be sure that you know, we are not having a debate....just a casual chat. ;>)

Although all that you have said seems tactically sound, I still have serious doubts about ever seeing justice on any of this. After O is out of office, I fully expect to hear that we need to look forward, fix the critical problems of the nation and just move on. All of these criminal acts will simply blow away in the wind.

I hope I am wrong.

Cheers.....

Didn’t intend for it to sound like a debate just a chat. Hope you’re wrong. Think that was one of Bush’s biggest error— not going after the Clinton with consequences to their actions. They got away with it all and it just got worse
OTOH just as Nixon stepped down for the good of the country I’m sure W thought he was doing what was best for the nation. Instead we’ve continued to deteriorate.
How low can we go and how many IED has O and H planted for the next administration to pick up pieces. Enough is enough!

Chicago cleans house or at least a room or two every now and then. There’s so much there with one side turning on the others it’s surprise there’s such an enormous amount still there.
We’ve got almost 800 posts on the Chicago Crime thread most of it swirling around O and his friends. Some arrests, some in Prison , some dead Lots and lots of dots that some LEO is trying to connect. If a few freepers can collect this much dirt think what the FBI with their secret warents and wires are collecting.

Somebody keep a sharp eye on Hillary just in case she goes to Best Buy or similar store and buys a new server unit.

Wouldn’t put it past her to have a secret back-up server that only a few people know about.

Do you think that Gowdy and Co have copies of some of the emails, And are just waiting to spring them on her when she testifies?

* * *

Yes. I think that’s why Gowdy has delayed moving on this; he was getting his ducks in a row. If he can wave emails in front of her and say, hm, why isn’t this on your server anymore, I think he will force the Justice Department to charge her with obstruction. (At least I hope so!!!)

I'm thinking Trey Gowdy could have been more artful w/ the server issue.....

Seems to me subtlety is wasted on Trey....with all his good intentions.

The better route would have been to get all the readily-available OMB documents......WRT how-which-what-and-where the taxpayers are subsidizing the Clintons.

Maybe Gowdy already has them & is getting all his ducks in a row.

Gowdy can’t operate in secrecy from the five Democrats on the committee.
