Ive scheduled a post tomorrow on how to frame the argument that gun control advocates cant win: guns stop rape. Ahead of that piece, Id like to point out that the Civilian Disarmament Industrial Complex is up in arms about todays quote of the day from Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore. Ms. Fiore said If these young, hot little girls on campus have a firearm, I wonder how many men will want to assault them. Bilious billionaire Michael Bloombergs mob, Everytown for Gun Safety, sent out an email blast today claiming, This grotesque display of opportunism is beyond the pale. Irony: the bloody shirt-wavers in the gun grabbing biz dont do it. Heres the reasoning behind their claim that guns dont stop rape. Well, most rape . . .

Sadly or politically, there's nothing yet proposed that would counter the 2016 ballot initiative for universal background checks that will stop all criminals from ever, ever getting a gun and put an immediate stop to all domestic violence cases. Well, at least that's what nannie bloomers and the mommies of intervention claim.
But they do stop rapists.
Define “don’t”
I fail to see why this should prevent female campus students from deciding such things for themselves.
If she has one, aims and pulls the trigger it will.
There's also the deterrence benefit. Once would-be rapists realize their intended victims may be armed and that getting their sick kicks may become a life-or-death proposition... Well, that should put a damper on all rapes.
Heck, even brandishing will um, take the wind out of the sails.
I want to see hot chicks wearing a big OC.
(and a hidden derringer)
I guess we can only have this discussion when women aren't being raped? The owner of this quote is sick in his opportunism.
I don’t see a thing wrong with that.
Women do not want "redress of grievance" as is the norm for our Constitutional mechanics; they prefer to construct a legal environment where they never have to face a grievance in the first place.
Of course, to do this everyones freedoms must be curtailed.
If a woman does not have the intestinal fortitude to shoot her rapist, it is not disprove the effectiveness of a gun to prevent rape.
--I am wondering and am going to suggest to my reps that, since the petition measure has to go to a vote or be acted on , can it be enacted with no penalties of any kind for a "violation"--
I posed a question to senator Settelmeyer about any possible action that this session could take to circumvent the proposal that will appear on the ‘16 ballot. He told me that the legislature had the option to enact it as written or ignore it and if ignored it goes on the ballot as written for the IPOS/SPOS to vote on. One can almost hear the trucks from out of state warming up to bring in the tons of cash that bloomers and the mommies and the margabby kelly-giffords puppet show will be “donating” to such a fine cause. I’ve also read that I-594 in Washington is causing all sorts of issues that nobody foresaw(and the anti’s don’t care as long as there is an impediment to our rights in place). But it’s the law for now.
It’s all in the aim.
But they do stop rapists.
One can quite imagine that their libido is quite diminished with a few well placed jacketed hollow points to the center of their
. Mass..
-I haven't checked it to see what penalties would be assessed for violation---
The gun does not stop the attempted rape; it ENDS the intended rape with a 9mm/.40 S&W/.45 ACP myocardial infarction or a late life castration.
Guns don’t stop rape?
They do if the intended victim shoots the attacker’s privates off. I promise.
