Italy Fears ISIS Invasion From Libya
The daily beast ^ | 2/17/15 | Barbie Latza Nadeau

As ISIS makes inroads into Libya, officials in Rome are panicking about an Islamic State just across the sea—but have no idea how to combat the crisis. ROME — Last weekend in Italy, as the threat of ISIS in Libya hit home with a new video addressed to “the nation signed with the blood of the cross” and the warning, “we are south of Rome,” Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi shuttered up the Italian embassy in Tripoli and raised his fist with the threat of impending military action. Never mind that Italy has only 5,000 troops available that are even close to deployable, according to the defense ministry. Or that the military budget was cut by 40 percent two years ago, which has kept the acquisition of 90 F-35 fighter jets hanging in the balance and left the country combat-challenged to lead any mission—especially one against an enemy like the Islamic State.

Oh, no worries! Didn't 0bola and Hitlery both say that we couldn't get our resources in Italy, to help our Libyan Ambassador, to Libya soon enough to help? The distance to Libya shouldn't be of concern, to Italy, then. /S

REALLY? Italy has no idea how to deal with ISIS. Let me offer my suggestion. Bomb them to hell. Heavy bombers with cheap bombs should be flying non stop sorties blowing every square inch of ISIS held territory. Take a lesson from Assad and make cheap barrel bombs by the millions. If that fails, then drop job applications because that, according to Obama, is the root cause.

Italy had no trouble mbbilizing NATO troops "to protect the defeated rebels as they returned home" and instead disintegrating Khadaffi. It was about money Khadaffi had in Italian banks and was threatening to take out.

Hey Italy....you reap what you sow. Only problem is, civilization doesn't deserve the mess you, and US regime changes, and support of Saudi Arabia for the personal gain of globalists has created.

If ISIS invades Rome and takes control of the Holy City, this means that they will accomplish fully taking control of the center of Catholic Christendom and then of course, there won’t be any more Holy City as the animals will smash the place to pieces.

“Malta has just about 3,000 muslims and only just over 2,000 are not Maltese.”

No. Malta has 6,000 Muslims. My figures are from 2011 while yours are from 2003 and therefore a decade out of date.

I never thought I’d say this but I think Italy might have better “leadership” than we do - at least at the present time.

I think about 99% of the world has better leadership than us.

Maybe Italy should import some more Albanians. Then they could fight it out with ISIS over the drug and white slavery trade.

The last time jihadis attacked Rome they were driven off, but I’m pretty sure there were more than just 5,000 troops available for defense.

Maybe the easiest course for the Italians is just to throw the Pope over the wall and let the Jihadis take him. ‘Course, they’ll want to cover their eyes and plug their ears when they do this because its likely to be rather unpleasant.

Sounds like the prophecy of the pope being chased out of Roma (and a lot worse) could be coming true within a year or two.
