WASHINGTON (AP) -- The official sign-up season for President Barack Obama's health care law may be over, but leading congressional Democrats say millions of Americans facing new tax penalties deserve a second chance.
Three senior House members told The Associated Press that they plan to strongly urge the administration to grant a special sign-up opportunity for uninsured taxpayers who will be facing fines under the law for the first time this year.

Watch the language used. This will be spun as the fault of mean rich people.
I expect something more along the lines of anyone who is filing a tax return will pay a penalty surcharge to cover the fines of those who aren't.
Pass a Law, then when it fails miserably start granting exemptions? What a country, just repeal the damned thing or remove ALL Exemptions immediately.
There is a backlash to all of this. It may have to play out over a number of years because it involves people seeing the results of the mindset that sees Government as God/Provider. But if I could snap my fingers and get my way, this process would end with an Amendment to the Constitution barring Government at any level from having any contact or interaction with the medical profession, with the exception of services provided to active duty/retired military or wounded veterans. They’ve earned the right to be cared for by the taxpayer.

They’ll try to figure out a way to “regulate” Obamacare so that conservatives pay and the ‘rat base consumes.

Interesting... IIRC, this issue is one of the central points around why Obama and Reid shut down the government and blamed Ted Cruz back in 2013.

It’s tax season and people are just now filing their 2014 tax forms. They are just now finding out what they really voted for. My sister-in-law and her husband had to pay nearly $300 and their daughter had to pay $90. They usually got a refund of several hundred dollars each year. They are pissed..............................
Not until middle America is bludgeoned full force by the evil of this bill (and this asshole) FOR WHICH far too many of its “victims” voted will we be able to mount the political force necessary to get rid of it.

My concern is that the can is kicked far enough down the road that none of the original politicians who supported/passed this law pay for it at the ballot box; when you see how many of them are already out of office (and Obama himself will be soon), we’re going to end up with a bunch of Republocrats keeping it in effect while pointing fingers at a bunch of retired (exempt) politicians...
