Not a single Republican in either house voted for this monstrosity. They were in the minority and had no power to stop it at all.....................

Yeah, I know.

And we spoke up loudly and were shouted down, or marginalized as heartless bastards for denying healthcare to the needy.

But there were the marginal supporters who actually believed this was going to be “free for everyone”,

and if all the penalties would have been examined,
they may not have thrown their support behind it.

One of the things that sunk Hillarycare was that the truth got out about the criminal penalties for anyone seeking or providing healthcare outside the system.
