(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D- Ore.) has released a plan calling for more research on the health effects of guns.
Blumenauers Enough is Enough plan looks back to how the U.S. government addressed tobacco use and automobile safety in years past and calls for a similar approach to guns.
The Surgeon General's report on tobacco was a major catalyst for the efforts to reduce tobacco use. Ralph Naders research captured headlines and focused public attention on automobile safety. Similarly, we need more research on the health effects of guns. We can start by improving the ability of researchers and the federal government to study and share information about guns, according to the plan.

Health effects of “guns”
User - healthy
Target — unhealthy
AKA "gun registration."
“Blumenauers Enough is Enough plan looks back to how the U.S. government addressed tobacco use and automobile safety in years past and calls for a similar approach to guns.”
Which amendments of the constitution can these be found in?
He should recognize. CDC already done been there done that, dude. Guns be bad. Serious health problem. Maybe that CDC dude should just tell all the peeps to “Wash their hands.”
Just wait until the Statists get serious about “Common Sense” Free Speech Control.
Guns Make Me Sneeze!!
First show you’re REALLY concerned about public health. Let’s determine the health effects of abortion and homosexuality, how abortion is utterly barbaric in its treatment of millions of human beings each year, and how homosexuality results in tens of thousands of abbreviated lives each year because of HIV/AIDS and cancers that are unique to their deathstyle. No? I thought not.
They won’t look too deep in that because they will find that nearly half of all gun deaths are committed by 1-2% of the population.

Gee, any guesses what that “research” will conclude?
Pray America is waking
don't think this is what this fascist libtard is talking about.
(rewritten for clarity)
Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D- Ore.) has released a plan calling for “more research on the health effects of terrorist Muslims.”
Blumenauers “Enough Terrorist Muslims Already” plan looks back to how the U.S. government addressed tobacco use and automobile safety in years past and calls for a similar approach to terrorist Muslims.
“We can start by improving the ability of researchers and the federal government to study and share information about terrorist Muslims,” according to the plan.
Hey Bloomie! Where's your constitutional authority to meddle in this? Look through Article 1 ... show me where Congress is granted any authority regarding the "health effects of guns".
Let me see I have a book here .yes, here it is “Firearms and Violence. This was a parting shot by Bubba when he left office. This book which WE the PEOPLE payed for this research by the National Research Council of the National Academies was not talked about much cause they found NO evidence that any gun control laws would prevent gun violence except gun courts for minors. I repeat NONE did any good. They did say CCW might decrease violence.
Maan i new this was comin
Got a gun?
No medical care for you, paL!
Logic is not the forte or expertise of liberals. It is feeling, feigned compassion and an underlying need to control others’ lives. Anything against their goals is quashed, anything that can be in support of their doctrine is concocted.
Piss off a man that owns a gun & has nothing less to lose.
I see a serious flaw in that reasoning. Hee hee.
“health effect”
No one is getting Ebola or measles from a gun.
A BS excuse for trying to find a way to disarm citizens. The 2nd Amendment is NOT predicated on whether it is safe or is a health issue. However, it damn sure would be a “health issue” for a lot of people if they were disarmed and at the mercy of the tyrants running our government.
