Criticisms of America's first black president, sometimes, come with a wink and a nudge.
A union rep in coal country delivered his in carefully coded language.
"He was supposed to represent both sides," the West Virginia man said in a recent interview, describing his disenchantment with Barack Obama, whom he'd once supported.
What sides was he talking about? The man paused at the question, cast a furtive glance around the room and looked down at the little machine recording the conversation. "You know," he said in a hushed tone, "his mom was as white as you and me."
He completed the thought, with some further pressing. Gun control, climate change, he said those are city people's priorities. And city people equals minorities. But gun rights, coal mining these are the priorities up in the mountains of Boone County, where the population is 98.4 per cent white.
The White House avoids these conversations like the plague. In a new book, a longtime adviser to Obama explains that he'd consistently change the subject whenever asked about racism toward his boss.
But David Axelrod is a private citizen again and now he'll say it: the two-time Obama campaign aide, ex-White House staffer, and communications guru who coined the slogan, "Yes We Can," says that opposition to the president is partly fuelled by racism....

As a scholarly culturist I can with no guilt nor animosity criticise various aspects of the several subcultures of black skin. The president has designated the lot “people of color” but to me that seems anachronistic.
The key to the collective liberal mind is to when it is beneficial, to aggregate. Thus, we are presented a “black community” when none actually exists. To utter the phrase black community is to be racist. To have black anything, a black caucus in the Congress for instance is to be racist.
A far better course is to be a culturist and be critical or favorable of various subcultures of people that happen to have negroid characteristics.
We must take the highest most ground for the battle. That ground is held as a culturist.
In the process, we recapture the language
BS! They have played the race card from day 1. According to 0’s staff any questions or criticism of 0 were always about race not substance; just ask Bill Clinton.
Such BS. I’ll swap him for Allen West in a DC minute.
‘incompetence’ THERE’S the operative word
That alone is reason enough for me to NOT vote for a black, person of color, Afro, African-American or what ever is the preferred descriptor de jour this week
Racism! *yawn*
So what? I’m sure some people hate Obama because of the color of his skin. Some people like him based on the color of his skin, too. Again, so what? I could be a racist and still have legitimate reasons to despise Obamacare. Or, I could agree with gay marriage but be vehemently opposed to the way Obama uses the courts to impose it. What matters is the substance of the arguments, but answering critics is far more difficult than using the race card to discredit them.
Following this logic, all criticism of Israel is anti-semitism.
Actually, I think Obama doesn’t really care about any racial group. He only cares about doing what he needs to do to collapse the system. He only cares to make as many people as possible totally dependent on the good graces of government. That is the path to centralizing all power. . He “cares” for no one. . He only cares about power.
Blame your abject failure upon racism; happens every day that someone uses an alibi.
oh really?
what fuels my oposition to Carter, Mondale, Ducacus, Clinton, Gore, Kerry and Hillary then ?
lol
It not that he is black that bothers me! its that he is pink and red that bothers me! (gay and commie)
Racism fuels Obama support? It’s “undeniable,” says I.
Racism?
Not a chance.
Give me a ticket of Allen West and Dr. Ben Carson and I'll vote in a heartbeat because these men, though of the same racial appearance as Obama, are the complete opposite in character of the fraud POTUS.
Well, gee!
Ain’t it a shame that the first mullato American president, suffers from a syndrome known as a ‘flaccid richard’, spends more time emulating a steven retrieven on vacation than in the office doing his appointed duties, can’t throw a baseball without looking like a European, keeps thinking in a past life he was an Oriental when he meets a Japanese made robot.
I haven't noticed the White House being particularly reticent to cite racism...
“Utter B.S., what the union rep. said wasnt in any way racist, just the plain truth. Zero is looking out for negroes period.”...........
I often wonder why so many blacks are being “appointed” to high level gubmint positions around odumbo. Does he think it will be safety in numbers or, are these same blacks the cream of the crop?
You’re right. It’s the blatant racism of the Kenyan POS, his supporters, the entire democrat party of slavery, racism, and the KKK that fuels the opposition.
They’re still the same racist party and followers that they have been throughout history.
Our ancestors who fought against the democrat confederacy thought they had destroyed slavery and the party. They didn’t finish the job.
The democrat party should have been outlawed in 1865 and their leadership North and South hanged for treason.
We detest Obama because he is a lying Muslim Communist fraud who is destroying the Constitution!
Simple mental test
If a white president was doing and saying exactly the same as the current president, would opposition still be because of racism or because people do not like the policies of the President.
There is nothing this administration is doing I support. White, red, green, purple, or what ever would not make what is being done agreeable to me.
Playing the race card is getting old.
