Not sure why everybody needs to get all ‘up in arms” about this.
A healthy sex life can be a real asset in marriage. Sometimes, it just needs a little sprucing up. It can be positive.
In Sweden, I think couples have a more healthy work/life balance. Sexuality is seen in a completely different light. People want to look and feel sexy. It makes people happy - as God intended.
In the U.S., there seem to be a lot more hang ups, bored men looking for something on the side, and lack of positive body image. It leads, I think, to a lot of obesity and poor dispositions.
Live a little, have some fun once in a while!

Used to be, you had to go to an “adult book store” to get toys like that, and you had to ask the pharmacist for condoms because they were kept behind the counter. Now, you can get adult toys right off the shelf in Walgreens, next to the condoms, lubricants and such. And they adds for vibrators are on TV now!

I have a very weird group of friends. Which often helps me not be so weird. People in the BDSM world lead lives that are way more complicated than I want to get into.
So which of these items is LEAST sinful in God’s eyes?
Cigarettes
Hard liquor
Condoms
Vibrator
I propose it is the vibrator.
Cigarettes damage the body; liquor the same and can lead to abuse. And ask any Catholic about the Church’s view about condoms.
A vibrator can add many benefits to a married couple! Provide couples with a aid to a healthy sex life, possibly aid in producing children, help keep husbands at home, etc.
It may be naughty, but in the context above, certainly not sinful!
How did we get here from the promotion of porn? The “Grey” story is NOT about an imaginative couple.
It is great marketing....young sexy people are in the market for childrens shoe laces...there is nothing visible in that other display that would offend anybody.

Would it were that all this weird pleasure seeking was about re-establishing some healthy role for marital relations. Trouble is, it isn’t. It’s about folding hate into love. It’s setting up for disappointment and trouble.
