The U.S. Senate passed a bill Thursday approving the Keystone XL oil pipeline, setting up a looming veto showdown with the White House.
The legislation passed on a 62-36 vote

Don't know if it can't be done, but it's GOOD that Obama will have to be seen as vetoing what's good for America.
“...Obama will have to be seen as vetoing what’s good for America.”

Yes, well, virtually everything he has done has been “TO” America, as opposed to “FOR” America. Why should he stop now? Just not part of the agenda.
Yes, that is very good. Maybe the unions can put pressure on five Demon Rats and some Rats in the House to override Hussein.
Pass it. That’s the right thing to do. The imposter will veto it, and show the country where he stands: rewarding his buddies in the envirowacko movement.

Repeatedly, once a week.
The timing is curious.
I am wondering if obama and his saudi overlords brought down the price of oil to coincide with this bill, to attempt to make its necessity questionable.
Marco Rubio was absent, that would be 63. So we need to turn 4 more Dems. Here are the dems who voted for it:
Bennet (D-CO)
Donnelly (D-IN)
Heitkamp (D-ND)
Kaine (D-VA)
Klobuchar (D-MN)
Manchin (D-WV)
McCaskill (D-MO)
Tester (D-MT)
Warner (D-VA)
Except the electorate knows the O&G players are doing everything they can to get the price back up. May as well have it built by the time the oil market ‘recovers’.
With reid out of the picture it's finally time that the American public gets to see where the obstructionism truly resides.
The bill should have been stand alone , a simple up or down vote ...has anyone seen the bill after all the add on’s and amendments?...when will they defund anything ?...my disgust towards the federal government is beyond measure. I suggest to all able to become self-employed and show just enough to support yourself...cash only and a pre=paid credit card ...give them nothing.
I see Carper (D-DE) is not on the list.
He has voted for the pipeline in the past.
Our other Senator , Coons, is a moron.
It's a good thing for the US but it will take time for demand to grow due to the mythological bias Americans have been brainwashed into regarding the environment.
Getting the Keystone bill to pass congress WITH almost 1/4 of Dems voting in favor helps to slowly dispel the myth. As this continues, American will use more oil and the price increases.
LOL!
Warner and Kaine are in a pickle without their master Harry Reid.
Should be lots of interesting votes for them in the next two years. Even the GOPe can’t screw that up.

Both the Saudis and OPEC understand what low prices do to fracking ventures currently underway...
That's how it's played. That's how Obama-care-not got passed.
Due to investments already committed, oil-sands production is poised to rise 36 percent to at least 2.6 million barrels a day by 2017, Peters & Co., a Calgary-based investment bank, said in a November forecast.
Projects now under construction will require 1 million barrels a day of new pipeline space, said Chris Cox, an analyst at Raymond James Ltd. in Calgary.
What you should expect this year is that all incremental heavy oil barrels are effectively going to be transported by rail, Cox said....
Canada Doesnt Need Keystone XL to Win U.S. Crude Supply Battle

Pipelines are not justified on the price of oil. They make money by the difference in the price of oil based upon location. We will end up using more, not less oil with low prices.
Good observation.
