An anti-gun coworker sent me the below link with the caption "I still have not seen any study that shows more guns make our communities safer."

Can anyone help me with something to refute his argument?
The FBI estimates about two to 2.5 million violent crimes are prevented by the use of guns by the law-abiding each year.
How about just plain common sense.
Around twice a year, in my relatively small media market, there is a story about a home invader being shot and killed by a homeowner.
I don’t need any statistics to understand the value of owning a gun.

Daughter and son-in-law live in Plano - feeling better about them not owning even a .22 (and yes, I raised her shooting - a lot).
Its a proven fact that as CC increases crime goes down.

Flipping it on its head, the study/statistics that most gun control people rely on is the Kellerman study,
and it’s been thoroughly debunked.

I still have not seen any study that shows that dhimmicrats are human. I think the jury is out on that one too.

The problem is that personal gun ownership is not really necessary in order to reap the benefits. The benefit accrues to those who “might” have guns. The issue is one of deterrence, which has never been fully appreciated by the left in the case of nuclear weapons or guns.
The best information was in the post yesterday which had statistics for murders per capita demonstrating that Plano Texas was at the bottom of the list. The U.S. cities with the most stringent gun regulations were also those with the worst murder rates.
In a recent poll of theives, 9 out of 10 preferred to rob and assault people who are unarmed. The 10th is now dead.
CC could mean a couple of things these days -
Concealed Carry or
Constitutional Carry (Concealed carry without permit)
Disarming ALL the decent(law abiding) people...
SO... they cannot defend themselves against the UN-decent ones(law breakers)..
is an idea hatched in a criminally INSANE mind...
you can NEVER disarm the criminals..
