Secretary of State John Kerry sought to show the United States’ support of France after the recent terrorist attack against the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo by having James Taylor sing “You’ve Got a Friend” at a Paris press conference.
Nile Gardiner, director of Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at The Heritage Foundation, blasted this decision, calling it “embarrassing” and “cringeworthy.”

When I saw James Taylor on twitter I thought he had died..then I saw this..absolutely embarrassing..somewhere ISIS is laughing their asses off

If I was France, I’d send over a mime to Washington, D.C.. and have him do the pulling the rope bit.
I thought of that stupid reset nonsense as soon as I read this. Honestly, it’s hard to believe what these morons do. I am certain they will do ANYTHING to make America look stupid on the world stage.
Jumping the shark implies going from relevant to irrelevant. This administration has never been relevant in foreign affairs.

I heard rush talking about Taylor singing today to the French. I thought he was joking and making fun of Obama and Kerry. No way they are that stupid I thought. Bingo, they are just that stupid and worse.

That is one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen an American politician do.
Rather than correct their original blunder, this will probably make the average French citizen think even worse of us.
Back when Hillary was president of the United States - first term - she made a trip to Europe, can’t remember what country it was but they made a huge production of it in one of the British papers. It was hilarious. They made it sound like she was storming the beach on D-Day.
I assumed he was dead, too!
