NY Police Commissioner Bratton sent out a memo...being read at precinct roll-calls ahead of slain Officer Wenjian Liu’s Sunday service. Bratton pleaded with the rank and file to shelve their anger: “The country’s consciousness has focused on an act of disrespect shown by a fraction of those…officers,” he said. Many cops were furious over the directive, which they saw as an attempt to fix the mayor’s bruised ego. “He’s taking DeBlasio's side....to protect him and not make him look bad,” one source said.
One cop who participated in the collective back-turn found the Bratton memo sickening: " I feel Mayor de Blasio does not like cops....., I would never do anything to disrespect another cop or his family,” he added.
Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins blasted the mayor: “If the mayor has to direct the commissioner to respect him, it’s a total embarrassment,” he said. Mullins told his members it’s up to them if they want to protest.“I remind my members of their first amendment rights of expression,” he said. “It’s your choice. Choose what makes sense to you.”

Bratton doesn’t want cops to turn their backs on the Mayor.
So cops should do the next best thing.....middle-finger Big Bird De Blasio.

Appointed postions in the department have to follow lockstep, I guess they didnt do thier homework before accepting otherwise they would have known they would be working for a communist. They made thier bed now sleep in it!
BACKSTORY When Rudy Giuliani was riding high as post-911 Mayor, he summarily fired Police Commissioner Bratton....simply b/c Bratton was getting too much press, and was being invited to all the A-list parties.
That was too much for ego-driven Rudy. Bratton had to go....unceremoniously ousted like a bag of garbage. Word was Bratton was stunned.
Today, Bratton is once again NYC Police Commissioner....clearly the star speaker at the slain cop's funeral.
Rudy was forced to the rear-—Bratton and the rest of the dignitaries did not even give him the time of day.
At the slain cop’s funeral Rudy looked like little boy lost.....the poster boy for the old adage, “Be careful who you step on, on the way up, b/c you’re gonna meet them on the way down.”
I agree that it’s a gesture of disrespect. Imagine if a military unit turned its back to the President...that wouldn’t (and shouldn’t) be tolerated. These cops are fortunate that they can show their disrespect like that.
NY Police should issue an ultimatum of their own - de Blasio must immediately and fully dissociate himself from Sharpton and denounce his cop-hating, race-baiting behavior, or else.
Two can play the “demands game”.
DE BLOBBIO'S WIFE

THE REAL STORY
Mrs DeBlobbio loudly declared her lesbianism in a magazine article---she was in a black feminist lesbian group and wrote poetry about being a lesbian. Politicker noted her husband's campaign website doesn't reference her background as an avowed lesbian and a lesbian activist or lesbian poet: It notes her affiliation with the Combahee River Collective, omitting mention of the group’s lesbian roots, referencing it as "a pioneering black feminist collective."
They met while both worked for Dinkins. She says she had a nose ring and wore African garb when he spotted her and was completely smitten. She never told him she was a lesbian. And later said after their marriage she was still attracted to women.
During the campaign, she was asked about her lesbian lifestyle----she retorted she "didn't understand the question."
The Blobbio's honeymooned in Communist Cuba. Musta been a shock on their wedding night when Blobbio came out of the shower in a towel. "You want to put what where," said the startled lesbian.
THE ODD COUPLE
DeBlobbio gave his wife control of "the multi-million dollar Mayor's Fund." .... no telling who she’ll be dishing it out to....prolly to those who helped get them elected. Think money laundering...the ambitious lesbian has a staff---two aides salaried @ half a million. NYC has enormous revenue flow. DeBlobbio (as do most Mayors) controls all of that revenue.

Lynch said there had been "no resolution" of the cop/Mayor rift....but that the cop unions figure "actions speak louder than words".......and that "time will tell."
So the slippery ball is definitely in DiBlobbio's court.....looks like the cop unions gave De Blobbio plenty of rope to hang himself (/snix).
I'd venture to say DiBlobbio got a definitive unspoken message from the cop unions: "If we ever see you w/ that race baiting sucker, Al Sharpton, ever again, you got big, BIG problems."
Plus the contingent of cops nationwide who showed up at the Ramos funeral are also a force to be reckoned with.
(/Snix) and let's watch as firemen's unions, trash collector's unions, and other public employee unions rally behind cops.
Let the pols shake in their boots waiting for the next snowstorm.....as streets pile high with unplowed snow burying tons of garbage.
Respect has to be earned by more than winning an election.

“Odd” doesn’t really suffice. Strange things are obviously happening.
They should turn their backs on Bratton first.
The police commissioner’s FIRST responsibility is to public safety, followed closely by tthe people working for him, NOT to his commie boss.
Kissing up to deblobbio compromises BOTH public safety and the safety of the police.
If they are not allowed to turn their backs on him, then they all should simply turn their faces down toward their feet.
