Arrests plummet 66% with NYPD in virtual work stoppage

It’s not a slowdown — it’s a virtual work stoppage.

NYPD traffic tickets and summonses for minor offenses have dropped off by a staggering 94 percent following the execution of two cops — as officers feel betrayed by the mayor and fear for their safety, The Post has learned.

The dramatic drop comes as Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Mayor de Blasio plan to hold an emergency summit on Tuesday with the heads of the five police unions to try to close the widening rift between cops and the administration.

The unprecedented meeting is being held at the new Police Academy in Queens at 2 p.m., sources said.

Angry union leaders have ordered drastic measures for their members since the Dec. 20 assassination of two NYPD cops in a patrol car, including that two units respond to every call.

Bloomberg did the same thing except he focused on businesses. The Health Department were his police.

Don't worry, taxpeasants!

The Well-Compensated Blue Line is still drawing its paychecks!

Don't forget to pay your taxes! THOSE laws will still be enforced! LOL! :)

“Someone I know recently told me his idea about guns: Make it mandatory for everyone to own a gun at the age of eighteen. That way it wouldn’t be just the bad guys who have guns.”

Sadly, this town council rolled over to the Bloomberg gun grabbers.

Facing lawsuit, Georgia town holsters mandatory gun ownership law
By Simon Moya-Smith

A small town in Georgia says it will not enforce a controversial law that requires the head of nearly every household to own a gun and ammunition.

The town of Nelson, Ga., population 1,300, passed the ordinance in April. In May, the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence filed a federal lawsuit against the town challenging the constitutionality of the law, which allowed some exceptions to the ownership requirement.

Both sides informed the courts this week that they had recently come to a settlement. As part of the resolution, the town of Nelson declares that the law cannot and will not be enforced.

In a press release, the Brady center said the settlement protects gun owners and non-gun owners alike.

Well, I recall that under Dinkins, he planned specifically to raise revenue to fix the nYC budget by increasing citations and fine issuances by police.

Well, that's how this whole thing started anyway, cops being ordered to concentrate on some schmoe who sells cigarettes individually thus cutting down on tax revenue.

You are right about the restaurants in Lafayette. Much better seafood than New York.

I will not be out celebrating New Years Eve. Instead I will be quite sober, awake, and prepared with plenty of .223.

“So when will they realize that it was Barzini all along?”

When they realize Tattalia is a pimp.

I was going to go see the 9-11 Museum in New York City. Now, NO WAY!

I thank the police everywhere for doing the risk-filled job they do. I fear what we will become if the police stop work because of the disrespect being heaped upon them by Progressive Democrats..

They’ll just make it up in taxes. If there’s one thing liberals can’t abide it’s an actual drop in spending money.

[ So, the prez who ordered a slow down of illegal immigration enforcement has won in NYC with a slow down in arrests of his people. Win, win for the prez-king. ]

If this keeps up, perhaps conventional law enforcement will break down and “death squads” will emerge because the criminals will become bolder and bolder.

“I guess it will deteriorate eventually, though.”

Yea, it will. People will begin to push limits and see there’s no consequence. That’s what sent the crime rate through the roof in the 70s and 80s in NYC. And I still remember the liberals then stating that there was NOTHING that could be done to lower the rate. And then Rudy proved them all wrong...simply by arresting and jailing bad guys.

Why are they still doing even 6% of citations, etc.? Does DeBlasio have that many close friends and family?
