Its not fair that we have to work for things and other people dont. NPR/NYT/MSNBC/PBS/ABC/NBC/CBS/LAT approves of this message.

Why would people bother going to see this in theaters when they can pick up the DVD of the original for almost nothing? The kids can watch it endlessly.
Is there something particularly enthralling about this remake, or is it just the novelty of a black Annie?

Harold Gray (who created the Annie comic strip) was against the New Deal and Socialism. His creation has been perverted.

I’m waiting on a true to life Hollywood biography of Louis Farrakhan....played, of course, by Tom Cruise.

“You will read of the bad singing and stilted dance numbers. And still you will go, because its a childrens holiday after all, and thats what they want to see”
No. No I won’t. Just the ads were enough to make me shudder. Bad acting + bad dancing does NOT = entertainment.

Once upon a time there was a movie called The Wiz, but I could be mistaken.

No white guilt here. Without ole whitey, most the other folks in this nation would be living in houses made of mud or sticks. They wouldn’t have phones. They wouldn’t have A/C. They wouldn’t have TV. They wouldn’t have the Internet to read this post.
They should thank God for whitey every day.

No, no you won't. Not if you have any stones and raise your family as you see fit. If you're a feminized weenie and can't say 'no', well, then go ahead and let somebody else make your choices and raise your family as they see fit.
Just shut up and pay the bills.

How come they didn’t name this “Black Annie”. The renamed the black “Wizard of OZ, “The Wiz”.

I never saw the original. Not interested. Less interested in the remake. My youngest is 27. No grand children. Taking a complete pass.

Stupid.
Will Smith and Denzel Washington are very successful because they appeal to a larger audience.
Black themed movies are after a thin slice of the market.

I already know that the original is way better than this train wreck. I don’t even need to watch it.
