A 22 year old Israeli Jewish man was stabbed Tuesday morning (roughly 2:00 am EST) in Crown Heights, outside the Chabad-Lubavitch building at 770 Eastern Parkway in New York City.
The man’s condition is defined as stable, but serious; he was reportedly stabbed in the neck. The public has been asked to pray for him; his Hebrew name is Levy Yitzhak ben Raizel.
Police arrived at the scene and apprehended the perpetrator, now revealed to have been a 40-year old African American man. He may have also been Muslim, but this has yet to be confirmed. The attacker died after being shot by police as he was being treated for his injuries at Kings County Hospital.
One witness told the New York Daily News that (he) was muttering, “I will kill the Jew, I want to kill the Jew.” …

Actually, the Middle East used to be a region of enormous religious diversity. It is now less diverse than ever, and is losing diversity.
For the last 1400 years Muslims have been dominant, but by no means always in the majority.
Islam itself used to be far more diverse than at present. Saudi money and fundamentalism have cut way down on local variability.

So if he was just a Muslim who wanted to kill Jews it may have been terror related. But since he was a CRAZY Muslim who wanted to kill Jews, then it’s not terror related. Got it.

For a long time after the conquest, Christians were a majority in Egypt.
They gradually converted, mostly to get away from financial and legal oppression.
Today’s Egyptians, Muslim and Christian, are largely descended from the Christians conquered by the Muslims, though Muslims are probably more mixed with various invaders.
If this is reported accurately, I find it interesting.

In retrospect, it is unfortunate that Rabbi Meir Kahane was assassinated. He was persuading Jews to arm and defend themselves against attackers such as in this case.
He was killed by a Muslim terrorist who belonged to the same group that did the original WTC bombing.
In this case, as soon as he attacked, the black guy should have died in a hail of bullets.

The victim, from what I gather, was a Hasidic (ultra-religious) Jew. This group has voted predominantly Republican is presidential elections over the last several decades. Of course, I couldn't tell you how the particular individual who was injured votes, and it's not relevant to the incident. His attacker wasn't interested.
What is relevant, though, is that black Americans are statistically more likely to be anti-Semitic than any other racial/ethnic/nationality group in the country, other than Arabs. The dead perp is an extreme example of this reality.
Yes, I noticed that as well. I think it was an error by the Israeli writer. From what I heard in a radio report, the perp was shot by police in or near the Chabad facility. My guess is that he was then taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, where he was pronounced dead.
I wouldn't like to think of the riots that would be touched off if he were shot by police in the hospital. It would probably be a repeat of Crown Heights c. 1991.
In all probability, an honest error on the part of the Israeli reporter writing the posted story. More likely, the perp was shot, then taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and was pronounced dead there.
I’ve seen the video. It’s on YouTube. This is probably going to be classified as a terror attack.
Obviously, it was a hate crime (although the Sharptons and Jacksons and others in their crowd can't conceive of black racism and anti-Semitism). But it could also be considered a terror attack. We possibly will never know, but the perp could have been influenced by the Palestinian terror attack in a Jerusalem synagogue a few weeks ago ("copy cat" crime?).

Attacks against Jews and Whites are a non-event. If it was other way round the MSM would run it 24/7 and Sharpton and Jackson would be shrieking out loud with a bull horn in the streets.
I don’t recognize “hate crimes”. That’s a neologism that the left made up in order to undermine the concept of equal protection of the laws.
