Obviously, it was a hate crime (although the Sharptons and Jacksons and others in their crowd can't conceive of black racism and anti-Semitism). But it could also be considered a terror attack. We possibly will never know, but the perp could have been influenced by the Palestinian terror attack in a Jerusalem synagogue a few weeks ago ("copy cat" crime?).

I don’t recognize “hate crimes”. That’s a neologism that the left made up in order to undermine the concept of equal protection of the laws.
To all of you who don’t know about Brooklyn!!! Crown Heights-nabe both black (mostly West Indian) and Hasidic Jewish. Forget about riots that happened during David Dinkins era. Groups live fairly separately. I am not giving this as an excuse for the stabbing. No one should get stabbed, shot, beaten or raped—except if they’re a thug trying to rob something and person is acting in self defense (we’ll leave the rape one out of the equation). Animosity is still high between blacks and Hasids. Hasids have huge families—eight, nine ten kids isn’t odd for them. They want to buy every available building in the neighborhood so they can still participate in their community life. These are the Lubovitch Hasids (as to opposed to the Satmars in Williamsburg, and smaller groups in Boro Park—two other nabes in Brooklyn) Many blacks are pissed off that they can’t get housing in the nabe because the Hasids are buying everything up. Many times the Hasidic way of doing business is underhanded —especially doing business with the goys (gentiles). So, just a little background on animosity.
